This study explores if English videos on Facebook can improve speaking skills for freshmen struggling with English. We will divide freshmen into groups: one exposed to curated English videos on Facebook and another with no intervention. Both groups will take speaking tests before and after. By analyzing these tests, we aim to see if the Facebook group improves their fluency, vocabulary, and pronunciation, promoting better English proficiency.

This examination explores the effect of foreign direct investment on the supply chain management and balance of payment in Iraq market. The study is conducted in Iraqi circumstances focusing on the time period of 2005-2017 by considering the supply chain management. Johansen-Juselius co integration technique has been employed to measure the association among variables of interest which is FDI, CAB and GDP. The aim of this research is to explore the application of natural biopolymer chitosan for the purpose of incorporating fragrance oil into automotive fabrics and its antimicrobial properties relevant to automotive interior textiles. Chitosan was selected for this study for its film forming ability and inherent antimicrobial attributes. 100% polyester automotive fabrics were used in this study, as 100% polyester is predominant fibre used for automotive interior textiles.

The study is focused on the experience of conferencing from the perspective of young people (offenders), their families and supportive others. Of particular interest is the role of the offender’s family (and/or significant others), the nature of their support, and how this impinges on the conference and its outcomes. Although the supporters’ role is pivotal in the conferencing process, its significance has remained largely implicit in the research to date. The objective of the study is to explore this crucial element, using an interpretive approach.

The objective of my research is to develop a body of work for exhibition based on an examination of the ways that corporate space, as exemplified by the foyers and conference rooms of contemporary corporate offices, reflect societal anxieties about wealth and power. These works will draw on the history of painting, with particular reference to 17th century Dutch still life painting, as a framework within which to conduct the exploration of contemporary space.

This dissertation aims to investigate the electrical impedance properties of fruits and vegetables, and explore the relationship between impedance and quality criteria. In particular, the present dissertation outlines experimental research conducted on relationships between impedance properties and fruit tastes as well as the impedance changes observed during ripening process. Impedance measurement to monitor moisture content changes in the progress of drying is also included in this research.

This body of work is the culmination of a part-time five year investigation into the use of mirroring in digital art composition and its potential to generate affective intensity.The research has occurred through a series of installative works and artefacts produced with digital media in which mirrored operations have been employed in a variety of different ways. This research project explores the effectiveness of an auditory display prototype for the sonification of internet \(c{o_2}\) emissions to a small user group within their office context. To date, methods do not exist for the reporting of this information to users of personal computing while they perform simple internet enquiries. Underpinning the theoretical development of this project is a focus on auditory displays guided by the concept and forms of auditory displays, together with the auditory perception elements to be considered in their design.
