The aim of this thesis was to investigate and characterise the effect on electron dosimetry that localising different forms of bolus, both approximately tissue equivalent and non tissue equivalent, in a non conventional, although reproducible locations, (ie not on the phantom surface). Various treatment technologies have been developed. In this paper, the potential of removing heavy metals from aqueous solution by using porous aluminosilicate was studied. The solid sorbents were synthesized by reaction of sodium silicate and alumino sulfate with sol-gel method.
