Subfertility decreases the efficiency of the cattle industry because artificial insemination employs spermatozoa from a single bull to inseminate thousands of cows. Variation in bull fertility has been demonstrated even among those animals exhibiting normal sperm numbers, motility, and morphology.

In the present study, SDS-Polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis was used to separate protein sub units of albumin and globulin under reducing conditions to study the induction or disappearance during inhibition of germination. The molecular masses of the albumin and globulin protein subunits were estimated in relation to the motilities of the standard molecular mass proteins (Bio-Rad). However the SDS PAGE resolution of seed albumin in Pusa vishal and K851 showed 9-13 band corresponding to 110-5.

The present study was conducted on 30 cattle presented at the institutional veterinary hospital which were diagnosed of suffering for the small bowel intussusception. Detailed signalment including age, sex, breed, pregnancy status and season were recorded in all the animals. History of feed and water intake, defecation status, rumination status, type of feeding, any recent change in feed, history of deworming and feeding of mineral mixture was also recorded.Clinical signs such as signs of colic, abdominal distension, rumen impaction, laboured breathing and ruminal bloat were accessed.

The mean ± S.E. values of seminal attributes evaluated for assessing the quality of freshly ejaculated neat semen from four Hariana bulls has been estimated. In the present study mean ejaculate semen volume ranges between 3.35 ± 0.14 to 5.38 ± 0.20 ml. Semen mass motility (0-5 scale) ranges between 3.13 ± 0.08 to 3.69 ± 0.09. Sperm concentration varies significantly among the four Hariana bulls and ranges between 1633.50 ± 33.58 to 1806.25 ± 31.56 millions/ml. Present study indicated that the percent sperm progressive motility amongst four Hariana bulls range between 72.0 0 ± 1.21 to 78.

The study was conducted in eighteen NARI Suwarna ewes with the objectives to establish an effective liquid semen sperm concentration for laparoscopic AI and to study the conception rates with natural and laparoscopic AI method in ewes. The ewes in estrus were detected using vasectomized ram and external signs of estrus and were randomly allotted to three equal sized Groups of six each (n=6) namely, natural mating (Group I), laparoscopic AI with 20 million sperm dose (Group II) and laparoscopic AI with 40 million sperm dose (Group III).

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of Tris egg yolk and Tris soya lecithin in extenders for goat sperm cryopreservation. A total of 15 pooled ejaculates from five adult Beetal bucks maintained at Goat Research Station, AAU, Burnihat, were used in the study. Immediately after collection each ejaculate was evaluated for volume, mass activity and initial sperm motility and those found suitable were pooled. The pooled ejaculates were split into two equal parts and extended with two extenders i.e.

Physical Features Patients with AN typically have few physical complaints but may note cold intolerance. Gastrointestinal motility is diminished, leading to reduced gastric emptying and constipation. Some women who develop AN after menarche report that their menses ceased before significant weight loss occurred. Weight and height should be measured to allow calculation of body mass index (BMI; kg/m2). Vital signs may reveal bradycardia, hypotension, and mild hypothermia. Soft, downy hair growth (lanugo) sometimes occurs, and alopecia may be seen.

Colonic Motility and Tone The small intestinal MMC only rarely continues into the colon. However, short duration or phasic contractions mix colonic contents, and high-amplitude (75 mmHg) propagated contractions (HAPCs) are sometimes associated with mass movements through the colon and normally occur approximately five times per day, usually on awakening in the morning and postprandially. Increased frequency of HAPCs may result in diarrhea or urgency. The predominant phasic contractions in the colon are irregular and nonpropagated and serve a "mixing" function. ...
