  • In order to more contribution to the next-generation network, these routing protocols should be more flexible, saving energy, and performance achievable. In this paper, we propose a multi-metric on-demand routing protocol based on three parameters: queue length, route quality, and hops number to improve the MANET performance. Base on the working conditions of the network system. One or more routing metrics will be integrated into the cost function. Besides, we also performance evaluation of the MM-AODV compared with traditional routing protocols such as AODV and DSR.

  • For Schr¨odinger systems on metric graphs with δ-type conditions at the central vertex, firstly, we obtain precise description for the square root of the large eigenvalue up to the o(1/n)-term. Secondly, the regularized trace formulae for Schr¨odinger systems are calculated with some techniques in classical analysis. Finally, these formulae are used to obtain a result of inverse problem in the spirit of Ambarzumyan.

  • Chapter 3, Systems of measurement and weight, reviews weights and measures. It introduces the metric system as well as apothecary and household systems. Time and temperature conversions are included. Special attention is given to conversion factors, and the procedures for ratio proportion, fraction proportion, and dimensional analysis methods are introduced as building blocks for later chapters.

  • This book has been written to help professionals, students, and lay people identify the increasing number of terms in the fields of environmental engineering and science. More than 8000 terms, acronyms, and abbreviations applying to wastewater, potable water, industrial water treatment, seawater desalination, air pollution, incineration, and hazardous waste remediation have been defined. The most unique feature of this book is the inclusion of more than 3000 trademarks and brand names.

  • This paper qualifies what a true termrecognition systems would have to recognize. The exact bracketing of the maximal termform is then proposed as an achieveable goal upon which current system performance should be measured. How recall and precision metrics are best adapted for measuring term recognition is suggested. derlying premises should be made clear. Firstly, the automatic system is designed to recognize segments of text that, conventionally, have been manually identified by a terminologist, indexer, lexicographer or other trained individual.

  • Update summarization is a new challenge in multi-document summarization focusing on summarizing a set of recent documents relatively to another set of earlier documents. We present an unsupervised probabilistic approach to model novelty in a document collection and apply it to the generation of update summaries. The new model, called D UAL S UM, results in the second or third position in terms of the ROUGE metrics when tuned for previous TAC competitions and tested on TAC-2011, being statistically indistinguishable from the winning system.

  • Event performance characteristics provide a metric against which most enterprises can judge a SIEM system. The true value of a SIEM platform, however, will be in terms of Mean Time To Remediate (MTTR) or other metrics that can show the ability of rapid incident response to miti- gate risk and minimize operational and financial impact. In our second set of benchmarks for storage and analysis, we have addressed the ability of SIEM to react within a reasonable MTTR rate to incidents that require automatic or manual intervention....
