  • Rapeseed-mustard belongs to family Brassicaceae. It is the most important group of rabi oilseed crops and contribute a major share to the vegetable fat of the country. Effectiveness of the six fungicides i.e. Quintal (Iprodione 25% + Carbendazim 25%), Nativo (Tebuconazole 50% + Trifloxystrobin 25% 75GW), Tilt (Propiconazole 25 EC), Score (Difenoconazole 25 EC) and Propineb (Antracol 70 WP), Folicur (Tebuconazole 250 EC) were used at three concentrations of each @ 0.05, 0.1 and 0.2 per cent and one is no treatment (control) under in vitro against Alternaria brassicae by poison food technique.

  • The diagnosis of pulmonary tuberculosis can be made by the detection of acid fast bacilli by direct microscopy, using carbol fuchsin stain and/or fluorochrome stain. Microscopy is a rapid method but lacks sufficient sensitivity and does not distinguish between different species of mycobacteria. The sensitivity of microscopy is often not more than 25-40% as compared to culture, but under ideal conditions, it is possible to achieve a rate of 60-70%.

  • The highly infectious nature of tuberculosis (TB) urges the need to increase the efficiency and rapidity of lab methods. The coexistence of TB and cancer was investigated using Mycobacterium tuberculosis direct test (MTD) and the mycobacteria growth indicator tube (MGIT), besides the conventional lab procedures. All assays were performed on 101 patients clinically suspected of having a mycobacterial infection.

  • In this study, 569 fecal samples were screened for parasites egg to know the prevalence of gastrointestinal parasitic infection in this district. In our study, 50% of dung samples were showing negative for helminthitic infection. High prevalence of coccidiosis and followed by Strongyles infection in cattle, goat, poultry and rabbit. The results were indicating that all the livestock owners aware of deworming of livestock and poultry. To achieve 100 per cent deworming, peripheral centre of TANUVAS to create awareness on newer techniques in deworming like FMD vaccination to be followed strictly.
