This study used a large‐scale, international data set – the Organization for Economic Co‐ operation and Development (OECD) – Teaching and Learning International Survey (TALIS) 2013, consist‐ ing of 14,583 teachers from 34 countries – to examine the manner in which feedback from administrators, time spent observing colleagues’ classes, job satisfaction, and work enjoyment predicted teachers’ instruc‐ tional self‐efficacy.

Existing models of plan inference (PI) in conversation have assumed that the agent whose plan is being inferred (the actor) and the agent drawing the inference (the observer) have identical beliefs about actions in the domain. I argue that this assumption often results in failure of both the PI process and the communicative process that PI is meant to support. In particular, it precludes the principled generation of appropriate responses to queries that arise from invalid plans. I describe a model of P1 that abandons this assumption. It rests on an analysis of plans as mental phenomena.

Although in some respects more technical in their subjects and style than Darwin's "Journal," the books here reprinted will never lose their value and interest for the originality of the observations they contain. Many parts of them are admirably adapted for giving an insight into problems regarding the structure and changes of the earth's surface, and in fact they form a charming introduction to physical geology and physiography in their application to special domains.

In this work, we suggest simple setups, which resort to neither any extra quantum resources nor controlled-Hadamard gates, to observe such superpositions as well as entanglement-separability superpositions with tunable entanglement degree. The suggested setups can also serve as an interaction-free method to detect partially absorbing objects.

A sample of 34 solar flares recorded in Hanoi using the VATLY radio telescope between April 2012 and January 2014 at frequencies of 1415 and 1417.6 MHz is compared with the corresponding observations made at 1415 MHz by the solar observatory of Learmonth (Australia). While good overall agreement is obtained, a few differences are noted and studied in some detail. In particular, the use of different feeds in Hanoi and Learmonth reveals a case of very large polarization of the flare emission.

The Moon has been observed using the VATLY radio telescope at frequencies of 1420.4 and 1417.6 MHz in order to study the behaviour of the instrument in a domain of flux density close to the limit of its sensitivity. Drift scans have revealed a Moon flux density of 0.83±0.16 kJy corresponding to a Moon black body temperature of 207±40 K. From these results, a limit sensitivity of ∼ 300 Jy has been inferred in agreement with earlier coarser estimates.

This paper presents the basic information on the present status of ocean observation and service in Vietnam with focus on the physical oceanography area. Study results show that in recent years, ocean observations of Vietnam have been equipped with a series of modern measured and analyzed instruments, especially at related offices of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) and Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE).
