Compare to other documents, our study was for the first time validated the quality criteria of ICP-MS for analyzing nineteen metal levels in wastewater samples. The application of this method was then tested by analyzing nineteen metal levels in twenty-three wastewater samples in the Tham Luong Canal in Ho Chi Minh City. Based on these results, the correlation of the concentration of these metals in wastewater samples was determined.

This study investigated the in vitro effects of ZnO NP and chemical UV filters commonly used sunscreens on the function of immortalised and primary skin cells. ZnO particulates (30 nm, 80 nm and 200 nm) were compared to the chemical UV filters: butylmethoxydibenzoylmethane (BMDBM) ethylhexylmethoxycinnamate (EHMC), ethylhexylsalicylate (EHS), homomenthylsalicylate (HMS) and 4-methylbenzylidenecamphor (MBC). Human epidermal keratinocytes (NHEK), epidermal melanocytes (NHEM), dermal fibroblasts (NHDF) and the immortalised keratinocyte HaCaT cell line were used in this study.

The thesis research followed a constructivist assumption to claim knowledge. The strategy of inquiry was the case study taking the multiple-case, comparative design. Three case studies were conducted in this thesis. The research method mainly relied on open-ended interviews supported by semi-structured interviews and triangulations using documentation and archival records. The objective of the present study was to find out the knowledge of rural women about homestead technologies in Chittorgarh district. The study was conducted in Bhadesar and Bassi panchayat samities of Chittorgrarh district of Rajasthan state. From each panchayat samiti, two villages where the homestead technologies have been promoted by the KVK since last five years were included in the study. The sample consisted of randomly selected 100 rural women, 25 from each village. Personal interview method was used for data collection. Mean per cent score were used for analysis of data.

We have investigated the thermodynamic properties of the cubic zirconia ZrO2 using the statistical moment method in the statistical physics. The free energy, thermal lattice expansion coefficient, specific heats at the constant volume and those at the constant pressure, CV and CP , are derived in closed analytic forms in terms of the power moments of the atomic displacements.

The efficacy of some fungicides like carbendazim 12 % + mancozeb 63 % WP, difenoconazole 25 EC, propiconazole 25 EC along with commonly used fungicides viz., mancozeb 75 WP, propineb 70 WP, copper-oxy-chloride 50 % WP and one botanical Azadirachta indica (neem) leaf extract (20%) were tested against early blight of tomato cv. Abhinav at Agricultural Research Station, Ladol, Gujarat. A variant with no application of fungicide was used as a control. All fungicide treatments reduce the disease intensity as compared to untreated check.
