• On generalized solution of a class of higher order operator-differential equations

In this paper the sufficient conditions on the existence and uniqueness of a generalized solution on the axis are obtained for higher order operator-differential equations, the main part of which is multi characteristic.

• On completeness of elementary generalized solutions of a class of operator-differential equations of a higher order

In this paper we give definition of m-fold completeness and prove a theorem on completeness of elementary generalized solution of corresponding boundary value problems at which the equation describes the process of corrosive fracture of metals in aggressive media and the principal part of the equation has multiple characteristics.

• POWER SERIES TECHNIQUES FOR A SPECIAL SCHRÖDINGER OPERATOR AND RELATED DIFFERENCE EQUATIONS MORITZ

POWER SERIES TECHNIQUES FOR A SPECIAL SCHRÖDINGER OPERATOR AND RELATED DIFFERENCE EQUATIONS MORITZ SIMON AND ANDREAS RUFFING Received 27 July 2004 and in revised form 16 February 2005 We address finding solutions y ∈ 2 (R+ ) of the special (linear) ordinary differential equation xy (x) + (ax2 + b)y (x) + (cx + d)y(x) = 0 for all x ∈ R+ , where a,b,c,d ∈ R are constant parameters. This will be achieved in three special cases via separation and a power series method which is specified using difference equation techniques.

• Regularization for a common solution of a system of illposed equations involving linear bounded mappings with perturbative data

The purpose of this paper is to give a theoretical analysis of Tikhonov for solving a system of illposed equations involving linear and bounded mappings in real Hilbert spaces under perturbative operators and right hand side. Then, an example of finding a common solution of N systems of linear algebraic equations with singular matrixes is given.

• Seiberg–Witten-like equations on 5-dimensional contact metric manifolds

In this paper, we write Seiberg–Witten-like equations on contact metric manifolds of dimension 5. Since any contact metric manifold has a Spinc-structure, we use the generalized Tanaka–Webster connection on a Spinc spinor bundle of a contact metric manifold to define the Dirac-type operators and write the Dirac equation.

• Motion Control Theory Needed in the Implementation of Practical Robotic Systems

Most research in robotics centers on the control and equations of motion for multiple link and multiple degree-of-freedom armed, legged, or propelled systems. A great amount of effort is expended to plot exacting paths for systems built from commercially available motors and motor controllers. Deficiencies in component and subsystem performance are often undetected until the device is well past the initial design stage.

• Signals, Systems, and Transforms

(BQ) Tài liệu Signals, Systems, and Transforms is intended to be used primarily as a text for junior-level students in engineering curricula and for self-study by practicing engineers. It assumed that the reader has had some introduction to signal models, system models, and differ-ential equations (as in, for example, circuits courses and courses in mathematics), and some laboratory work with physical systems.

• SOLVABILITY CONDITIONS FOR SOME DIFFERENCE OPERATORS N. C. APREUTESEI AND V. A. VOLPERT Received 24

SOLVABILITY CONDITIONS FOR SOME DIFFERENCE OPERATORS N. C. APREUTESEI AND V. A. VOLPERT Received 24 June 2004 Infinite-dimensional difference operators are studied. Under the assumption that the coefficients of the operator have limits at infinity, limiting operators and associated polynomials are introduced. Under some specific conditions on the polynomials, the operator is Fredholm and has the zero index. Solvability conditions are obtained and the exponential behavior of solutions of the homogeneous equation at infinity is proved. 1.

• ON A PERIODIC BOUNDARY VALUE PROBLEM FOR SECOND-ORDER LINEAR FUNCTIONAL DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS S.

ON A PERIODIC BOUNDARY VALUE PROBLEM FOR SECOND-ORDER LINEAR FUNCTIONAL DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS S. MUKHIGULASHVILI Received 26 October 2004 and in revised form 7 March 2005 Unimprovable efficient sufficient conditions are established for the unique solvability of the periodic problem u (t) = (u)(t) + q(t) for 0 ≤ t ≤ ω, u(i) (0) = u(i) (ω) (i = 0,1), where ω 0, : C([0,ω]) → L([0,ω]) is a linear bounded operator, and q ∈ L([0,ω]). 1. Introduction Consider the equation u (t) = (u)(t) + q(t) for 0 ≤ t ≤ ω with the periodic boundary conditions u(i) (0) = u(i)...

• Geoscience and Remote Sensing New Achievements_1

Our planet is nowadays continuously monitored by powerful remote sensors operating in wide portions of the electromagnetic spectrum. Our capability of acquiring detailed information on the environment has been revolutionized by revealing its inner structure, morphology and dynamical changes. The way we now observe and study the evolution of the Earth’s status has even radically influenced our perception and conception of the world we live in.

• Accounting for Asian Economic Growth: Adding Gender to the Equation

This analysis of East Asian corporations allows us to study the subject of earnings informativeness in a different ownership context from that of the research on U.S. corporations. Our research results are also rich in policy implications. In general, our results support Ball, Kothari, and Robin (2000) by finding that policy makers should consider a country’s overall institutional environment before prescribing a comprehensive set of rules and regulations for corporate reporting.

• Periodic solutions for evolution equations

This article is organized as follows. First we analyze the one dimensional case. Necessary and sucient conditions for the existence and uniqueness of periodic solutions are shown. Results for sub(super)-periodic solutions are proved as well in this case. In the next section we show that the same existence result holds for linear symmetric maximal monotone operators on Hilbert spaces. In the last section the case of non-linear sub-di erential operators is considered.

• Báo cáo " On the set of periods for periodic solusions of some linear differential equations on the multidimensional sphere $S^n$ "

The problem about periodic solutions for the family of linear differential equation $$L u\equiv \left(\frac{\partial}{i\partial t} - a\Delta \right)u(x,t)=\nu G(u-f)$$ is considered on the multidimensional sphere $x \in S^n$ under the periodicity condition $u|_{t=0}=u|_{t=b}$ and $\int_{S^n}u(x,t)dx=0.$ Here $a$ is given real, $\nu$ is a fixed complex number, $G u(x,t)$ is a linear integral operator, and $\Delta$ is the Laplace operator on \$S^n.

• Cryptography and Network Security Chapter 8

The Devil said to Daniel Webster: "Set me a task I can't carry out, and I'll give you anything in the world you ask for." Daniel Webster: "Fair enough. Prove that for n greater than 2, the equation an + bn = cn has no non-trivial solution in the integers." They agreed on a three-day period for the labor, and the Devil disappeared. At the end of three days, the Devil presented himself, haggard, jumpy, biting his lip. Daniel Webster said to him, "Well, how did you do at my task? Did you prove the theorem?' "Eh? No . . . no, I haven't...
