  • Let X be a projective manifold and f : X → X a rational mapping with large topological degree, dt λk−1 (f ) := the (k − 1)th dynamical degree of f . We give an elementary construction of a probability measure µf such that d−n (f n )∗ Θ → µf for every smooth probability measure Θ on X. We show t that every quasiplurisubharmonic function is µf -integrable. In particular µf does not charge either points of indeterminacy or pluripolar sets, hence µf is f -invariant with constant jacobian f ∗ µf = dt µf...

  • In this scholarly yet highly accessible work, Eva Hemmungs Wirten traces three main themes within the scope of cultural ownership: au- thorship as one of the basic features of print culture, the use of intellec- tual property rights as a privileged instrument of control, and, finally, globalization as a precondition under which both operate. Underwrit- ten by rapid technological change and increased global interdepend- ence, intellectual property rights are designed to protect a production that is no longer industrial, but informational....

  • Myanmar language and script are unique and complex. Up to our knowledge, considerable amount of work has not yet been done in describing Myanmar script using formal language theory. This paper presents manually constructed context free grammar (CFG) with “111” productions to describe the Myanmar Syllable Structure. We make our CFG in conformity with the properties of LL(1) grammar so that we can apply conventional parsing technique called predictive top-down parsing to identify Myanmar syllables. We present Myanmar syllable structure according to orthographic rules. ...

  • My initial inspiration for writing this book came at a meeting of the John and Jean De€Nault Task Force on Property Rights, Freedom, and Prosperity at the Hoover Institution. On multiple occasions thereafter, I€ presented portions of this book to my Task Force colleagues, from whom I always received intense but constructive criticism. The book’s intellectual mission precisely maps the concerns that have animated my work for most of the forty-Âthree years that I have spent in academic work....

  • The aim of this research is to provide a principled account of the generation of embedded constructions (called parentheticals) and to implement the results in a natural language generation system. Parenthetical constructions are frequently used in texts written in a good writing style and have an important role in text understanding.

  • We investigate the lexical and syntactic flexibility of a class of idiomatic expressions. We develop measures that draw on such linguistic properties, and demonstrate that these statistical, corpus-based measures can be successfully used for distinguishing idiomatic combinations from non-idiomatic ones. We also propose a means for automatically determining which syntactic forms a particular idiom can appear in, and hence should be included in its lexical representation.

  • The paper describes an experimental model of syntactic structure generation starting from the limited fragment of semantics that deals with the quantitative values of object parameters. To present the input information the basic semantic units of four types are proposed:"object", "parameter", "function" and "constant".

  • In this paper, the effect of mixing ratio of raw materials, curing temperature and time on geopolymerization between red mud and rice husk ash were investigated. The results showed that the optimum conditions were SiO2/Al2O3 ratio of 4 and Na2O/Al2O3 ratio of 2.0, curing temperature of 100 oC and curing time of 24 hours. The compressive strength, bulk density, total shrinkage of the obtained product were 22.8 MPa, 2.39, 15 %, respectively that met requirement of unsintered bricks using for construction.

  • The solubility of organic compounds in water was related to the environmental behaviors. In this work, the solubility values of 27 organic compounds were calculated by using the different molecular descriptors. The quantitative structure-solubility relationships (QSSRs) were constructed by incorporating the multivariable technique and the genetic algorithm. The important molecular descriptors such as logP, SsCH3_acnt, ABSQ, nelem, nrings, SHBa, Gmax, Gmin, Xvp6, and Xvpc4 were selected to construct the linear models QSSRs with the genetic algorithm.

  • Constructed wetlands are known widely by their characteristic properties like utilization of natural processes, simple and easy of construction, operation and maintain as well. The constructed subsurface flow wetland is designed as a tank with an impervious boundary to prevent seepage and contain a suitable porous media in which emergent plants grow. The water remains below the surface of the gravel/stone/rock media. Soil in constructed subsurface flow wetland absorbs and stores organic matter several years.

  • Tài liệu tham khảo giáo trình nhôm trong thiết kế xây dựng bằng tiếng anh - Chương 7 Plate elements in compression 7.1 GENERAL DESCRIPTION 7.1.1 Local buckling In aluminium design it is often economic to employ wide thin sections, so as to obtain optimum section properties for a minimum weight of metal. The extrusion process makes this possible. The limit to which a designer may thus go in spreading out the material depends on local buckling of the individual plate elements comprising the section.

In steel design these are easy to find, since the sections used are normally in the form of standard rollings with quoted properties. In aluminium, the position is different because of the use of non-standard extruded profiles, often of complex shape....
