  • The World Trade Organization (WTO) is the only international organization dealing with the rules of trade between nations. At its heart are the WTO agreements, negotiated and signed by the bulk of the world’s trading nations and ratified in their parliaments. The goal is to help producers of goods and services, exporters and importers conduct their business.

  • Today's international trade is radically more complex. The revolution in information and communication technologies fostered an internationalisation of supply chains which created a nexus between trade, investment, and services which is at the heart of so much of today's international commerce. Fundamental changes in recent decades have heightened the need for new and viable solutions to the problems of international trade.

  • A more widely used device is the buying and selling of futures contracts on the commodities exchange. All individuals or firms holding agricultural commodities for which futures markets are available may guard -- "hedge" -- against price changes. • Abstract—Efficient event delivery in a content-based publish/subscribe system has been a challenging problem. Existing group communication solutions, such as IP multicast or application-level multicast techniques, are not readily applicable due to the highly heterogeneous communication pattern in such systems. We first explore the design space of event routing strategies for content-based publish/subscribe systems.

  • Intuitively, a simple event notification service that provides no selection mechanism can be reduced to a multicast routing and transport mechanism for which there are numerous scalable implementations. However, once the service provides a selection mechanism, then the overall efficiency of the ser- vice and its routing of notifications are affected by the power of the language used to construct notifications and to express filters and patterns. As the power of the language increases, so does the complexity of the processing.
