Based on the foliar damage the resistance and susceptible genotypes of sorghum can be screened. For further understanding of the host plant resistance relationship between sorghum and stem borer the orientation behaviour and larval establishment behaviour can be studied.   • Present study focused to investigate social-personal characteristics of farmers conserving traditional crop in six districts of North-Eastern Karnataka which constitutes of 30 respondents with the help of snowball technique. Data were collected through personal interview with the help of interview schedule.
