Statistical accounting

This paper contributes to the discussion of the benefit of IFRS adoption by providing statistical evidence on how the new accounting regimes effect to the value relevance of accounting information (i.e. the relationship between accounting earnings, book values of equity and share price) of Vietnamese listed firms.

This research uses decomposition analysis and the optimal structure analysis to evaluate the role of change in sectorial structure of gross domestic product in reducing carbon emission intensity in 10 OECD countries during 2010 - 2018. The data are adapted from the environmental account and social matrix account belonging to the database of OECD statistics. The decomposition analysis result shows that changes in GDP structure made the aggregate emission intensity in Denmark, Finland, and Slovak Republic increase, but made the indicator in other countries decrease.

Some thermodynamic quantities of ZrxCe1-xO2/CeO2 systems are investigated by using the moment method in statistical dynamics taking into account the anharmonicity effects of lattice vibrations. The analytic expression of the Gibbs free energy, Helmholtz free energy, and specific heats at the constant volume of ZrxCe1-xO2/CeO2 systems are obtained.

The results of my statistical analysis revealed that only two variables (the number of days per year with thunderstorms and the total water equivalent precipitation) exhibited significant relationships with the percentage of work commuters who cycled or walked. Furthermore, the number of days per year with thunderstorms exhibited a strong inverse relationship, meaning that thunderstorms deterred workers from cycling or walking to work.

Statistical Prediction Models Bayes' theorem, as presented above, deals with a clinical prediction problem that is unrealistically simple relative to most problems a clinician faces. Prediction models, based on multivariable statistical models, can handle much more complex problems and substantially enhance predictive accuracy for specific situations.
