  • Near-term spoken language systems will likely be limited in their interactive capabilities. To design them, we shall need to model how the presence or absence of speaker interaction influences spoken discourse patterns in different types of tasks. In this research, a comprehensive examination is provided of the discourse structure and performance efficiency of both interactive and noninteractive spontaneous speech in a seriated assembly task.

  • The effects of carbon nanotube (CNT) in combination with carbon black (CB) on the properties of acrylonitrile butadiene rubber (NBR)/polyvinyl chloride (PVC) (70/30) were investigated. The results reveal that the maximal tensile strength of the rubber blend was obtained by the fillers ratio of CB:CNT = 39:1. At this filler ratio, the thermal stability and heat conductivity of the rubber blend were also significantly improved.

  • The in-pile correlation is applicable for a pure Al matrix and an Al matrix with the Si content up to 8 wt%, for fuel temperatures up to 200 ºC, and for Mo content in the range of 6 – 10wt%. In order to cover these ranges, in-pile data were included in modeling from various tests, such as the US RERTR-4, -5, -6, -7 and -9 tests and Korea’s KOMO-4 test, that were designed to systematically examine the effects of the fission rate, temperature, Si content in Al matrix, and Mo content in U-Mo particles.

  • A number of OECD countries experienced an environment of low interest rates and a rapid increase in housing market activity during the last decade. Previous work suggests three potential explanations for these events: expansionary monetary policy, capital inflows due to a global savings glut and excessive financial innovation combined with inappropriately lax financial regulation. In this study we examine the effects of these three factors on the housing market.

  • Undertaken at orphanages in Russia, this study tests the role of early social and emotion experience in the development of children. Children were exposed to either multiple caregivers who performed routine duties in a perfunctory manner with minimal interaction or fewer caregivers who were trained to engage in warm, responsive, and developmentally appropriate interactions during routine care.

  • Models for the binding of the sarcin–ricin loop (SRL) of 28S ribosomal RNA to ricinAchain (RTA) suggest that several surface exposed arginine residues surrounding the active site cleft make important interactions with the RNA substrate. The data presented in this study suggest differing roles for these arginyl residues. Substitution of Arg48 or Arg213with Ala lowered the activity of RTA 10-fold. Furthermore, substitutionofArg213withAsp lowered theactivityofRTA 100-fold.

  • Titin is known to interact with actin thin filaments within the I-band region of striated muscle sarcomeres. In this study, we have used a titin fragment of 800 kDa (T800) purified from striated skeletal muscle to measure the effect of this interaction on the functional properties of the actin– myosin complex. MALDI-TOF MS revealed that T800 contains the entire titin PEVK (Pro, Glu, Val, Lys-rich) 1 domain.

  • The health care worker should explain that anyone can get TB. TB spreads when an infected person coughs or sneezes, spraying TB germs into the air. Others may breathe in these germs and become infected. Patients must also understand the importance of making sure all family members exposed to the disease (contacts) who have symptoms of TB go to the closest health care facility for screening of TB. In particular, children under age 5 should be screened, because they are at risk of developing severe forms of the disease. ...

  • As the amount of on-line scientific literature in the biomedical domain increases, automatic processing has become a promising approach for accelerating research. We are applying syntactic parsing trained on the general domain to identify proteinprotein interactions. One of the main difficulties obstructing the use of language processing is the prevalence of specialized terminology. Accordingly, we have created a specialized dictionary by compiling on-line glossaries, and have applied it for information extraction.

The EDC-tested samples of the present and previous work were investigated by light optical and scanning electron microscopy to study the influence of factors such as azimuthal variation of the Zr-hydrides and the presence of hydride rims and radially oriented hydrides.

  • The interaction of NpOþ 2 with Cle was studied using visibleenear-infrared spectroscopy in NaCleCaCl2eNaClO4, NaCleNaClO4, and CaCl2eNaClO4 solutions with ionic strength (I) of 6M. The spectra of NpOþ 2 around 980 nm varied with Cle concentration in the NaCleCaCl2eNaClO4 and NaCleNaClO4 solutions at [Cle] 3.5M, but not in the CaCl2eNaClO4 solution. Assuming the 1:1 interaction between NpOþ 2 and Cle, the apparent equilibrium constants at I ¼ 6M were evaluated.

  • Although mobile devices, cellular phones, Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs) and other handheld devices have hardware constraints such as small screen, small storage, low CPU speed, and low resolution, their popularity has been enormously increasing. This is enhancing the opportunities for researchers to overcome those open problems caused of small size hardware constraints. However, still the biggest difficulty is that these devices are too difficult to load today’s visual information because most current information is based on a large visual documentation.

In The art and science of teaching: A comprehensive framework for effective instruction, author Robert J. Marzano presents a model for ensuring quality teaching that balances the necessity of research-based data with the equally vital need to understand the strengths and weaknesses of individual students. Inviting you to refer part 1 of Tài liệu. This part from chapter 1 to chapter 5.
