This study focuses on measuring the impact of trade agreements on Vietnam's rice exports based on secondary data sources produced by the General Statistics Office, the World Bank, and International Monetary Fund. Structural gravity model was employed for analyzing and quantifying the impact of trade agreements on rice export of Vietnam.

The monetary approach to exchange rate determination: empirical observations from the Pacific Basin economies

The paper studies the monetary approach to exchange rate for a group of five Pacific Basin economies, using quarterly data for the period of post – Asian financial crisis. Estimated results reveal that for Thailand and the Indonesia which were most affected by Asian financial crisis, monetary model did not work for explaining exchange rate movements.

Summary of Doctoral thesis: Analyzing the response of macro variables before monetary policy shocks through a new Keynes model to improve the quality of Viet Nam’s macro economic forecast

This study assesses the importance of monetary policy in macroeconomic stability in Vietnam through controlling the credit growth; evaluates the relevance of the new Keynes model in explaining macroeconomic fluctuations; uses the SVAR new Keynes model to evaluate the response of macro variables to the shocks of themselves; proposes the DSGE new Keynes model that serves to analyze, forecast and communicate macroeconomic’s policies in Vietnam.

TWO ESSAYS IN INTERNATIONAL ECONOMICS: AN EMPIRICAL APPROACH TO PURCHASING POWER PARITY AND THE MONETARY MODEL OF EXCHANGE RATE DETERMINATION I adopt a different strategy: I compare housing markets that differ in the strength of the residential location-school assignment link, and I develop simple reduced-form implications of parental valuations for the across-school distribution of student characteristics and educational outcomes as a function of the strength of this link.
