This chapter will demonstrate how to install Alfresco, introduce Alfresco Explorer – the web client interface for managing the repository, and the applications that are bundled with Alfresco standard distribution. Towards the end, you will understand how Alfresco stores and organizes the uploaded contents. We will also be acquainted with the default spaces that come with the Alfresco repository. Today, Alfresco is the leading Open Source alternative to Enterprise Content Management – alternative to Microsoft SharePoint®, Documentum®, Open Text®, and so on.

The aim of this study is to examine the correlation between the amount of international students in Russian universities with the positive changes that occur in a Russian student’s human capital, and their neighbourhood areas, especially in public spaces. The extensions of the environment with the integration of sensing systems in any space, in conjunction with ubiquitous computing are enabling the so-called Smart Space Sensor Networks. This new generation of networks are offering full connectivity with any object, through the Internet of Things (IoT) and/or the Web, i.e., the Web of Things. These connectivity capabilities are making it feasible to sense the behaviours of people at home and act accordingly. Based on common interests in the potential appli- cation of these technological goals, the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), New York, and the MIT Me- dia Laboratory agreed to a collaboration driven by the desire to increasingly use technology in their ex- hibits without making aesthetic concessions. Their mainmotivation was to use smart spaces 3 inmuseum exhibits, without the obvious elements of the asso- ciated computing.
