  • As indicated above, while YouthAIDS highlighted PSI’s ability to manage consumer brands, this same discipline had not been applied to the corporate “PSI brand.” PSI’s core audience was defined as those who influence resource decisions for public health investments in developing countries. As a result, PSI had focused its branding and outreach efforts with multi- and bi- lateral government donors. PSI had not been historically marketed to a broader audience and was not well-known to the general public.

  • For some time now, movie marketing has expanded its boundaries beyond discrete paratexts such as posters, TV ads, trailers, or featurettes, and into such publicity-driven entities such as “Entertainment News” shows, actual news segments covering movie premieres or milestones, and other nebulous promotional venues. The digital environment accelerates such embedments and boundary-crossings. Marketing becomes an increasingly elusive and crucial subject for film historians interested in ecologies of cinematic knowledge.

  • The movement of vehicles on the street also results in resuspension of road dust. Emissions also occur as a result of tyre wear and brake lining wear. Although there is a lack of data, it is expected that most of these particles will be in the size range 3 to some 30µm. The chemical composition of these particles may also be very different from those derived from combustion. The road dust deposit available for resuspension comes from mechanical wear of, and dirt on, vehicles (incl. tyre and brake lining wear), debris from loads on vehicles, influx of soil material etc.

  • These results have implications for investors that integrate environmental and social data in their investment decision making process. Given recent evidence that investors across both buy-side (e.g., money managers, hedge funds, insurance companies, pension funds) and sell-side companies are paying attention to environmental and social performance metrics and disclosure (Eccles, Krzus, and Serafeim, 2011), evidence about the performance consequences of a culture of sustainability are particularly relevant. The remainder of the paper is as follows.

Legislation concerning FINHEEC also enables it to operate outside national borders. Audits are carried out in Finnish, Swedish and English.

  • In some cases, being wherever the consumer is means selling products to them when they are ready to buy. As CG companies continue their experimentation with direct-to-consumer sales—through their own online storefronts or social media—they will need to start thinking more like the retailers with which they have long partnered. This shift in mindset will require changes in the marketing mix to accommodate increased investments in social media, mobile and other digital channels.

  • In the global dairy farming arena, Australia and New Zealand are at the forefront of low cost dairy production. This competence can be largely attributed to cost effective production systems, quality pasture and the ability to milk cows without having to house them in sheds. In Australia we are able to combine our cost effective pasture based system with a more intensive partial mixed ration (PMR) system to produce high levels of cow productivity. Irrigation systems in the Southern States of Australia are coming under closer scrutiny, and the price and availability of...

For example, in Figure 1-2, you can establish a link between the DEPTNO column in the second table, which is called a foreign key,to the DEPTNO column in the first table, which is referred to as the primary key of that table. Finally, even if you define many different indexes for a table, you don’t have to understand them or manage the data they contain.

Some policymakers worry that higher taxes might cause affluent households to work fewer hours, to decide against investing or starting a new business, to shield their income from taxes through shelters, or even to move to another state. But the research reviewed in this study suggests that modest tax increases on affluent households are unlikely to make substantial changes in their work effort or entrepreneurship, and they are very unlikely to leave the state....
