This paper introduces the application of the standard Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm with discrete integer variables to solve the problem of optimizing the position of tower cranes and material supply points.

In this paper, we identify and evaluate 42 tower crane safety risk factors specific to the Vietnamese construction industry based on their probability of occurrence, severity of impact, and associated risk levels. The paper reveals that the most probable risk factor is “Unfavorable winds (including intensity, direction, etc.)” with a mean value of 3.641.

This research paper endeavors to assess the safety risks inherent in tower crane operations at construction sites in Vietnam. This assessment is conducted from the perspective of various stakeholders involved in tower crane activities, namely managers, operators, and workers.
