It introduces the basic knowledge about past simple 1; vocabulary about some words that go together; reading about two famous first – Amelia Earhart and Yuri Gagarin; writing to describe a holiday. II. Aims:

1. Knowledge:

Knowing the usage of past simple Understanding the vocabulary about some words that go together. Reading about two famous first – Amelia Earhart and Yuri Gagarin. Enhancing writing skill: describing a holiday.

2. Skill:

Reading the vocabulary fluently. Practicing speaking skill. Practicing listening skill

3. Attitude:

Paying attention to the lesson. Contributing the ideas to the lesson. Working in groups enthusiastically.

III. Preparation: 1. Teacher:

Curriculum: For students at Tay Nguyen School – Full time. Teaching program: New Headway Elementary. Teaching aids: Textbooks, pictures, handouts, computer, projector, board. Testing and assessment: communicative approach, group discussion.
