Transendoscopic Ultrasound for Neurosurgery
Neuroendoscopy has been a real revolution in the
treatment of several disorders of the central nervous
system. In the treatment of obstructive hydrocephalus
and intracranial cystic lesions, above all,
almost every surgeon has been somehow obliged to
deal with the neuroendoscopic tools since the second
half of the 1990s. The diffusion of the knowledge has
been so rapid that the treatment of some welldefined
conditions with techniques other than neuroendoscopy
could now appear almost unnatural,
especially to the younger generation of neurosurgeons
who completed their training during the past
10 years...
