Part 1: Read the passage, and decide if each of the statements is R (right) or W
(wrong) (1.0 pt)
I have recently returned from a two-week trip to my friend's hometown, which is in the
countryside It was a refreshing change from city life.
At the beginning, the rural area was charming and peaceful, with abundant natural
beauty. There were fields, flowers, and many animals, including cows, which I rarely see
in the city. I enjoyed strolling around and breathing in the fresh air. I also liked helping
out on the farm. Feeding the chickens and collecting their eggs were fun, but I got tired
after a while.
I started to miss certain aspects of the city during my stay. There were few stores,
restaurants, or convenience stores, and going to the cinema or shopping at the shopping
centres wasn't an option. What I missed the most were my classmates. As a result, I
sometimes felt bored and lonely in the countryside.
Both cities and rural areas have their advantages and disadvantages. I enjoy the simplicity
of nature and the liveliness of city life. Experiencing both gives me a balanced
perspective.
