In the past twenty years, a wide array of social, environmental and quality standards, codes of
practices and certification programmes have appeared in agriculture and the food sector.1
Governments and their research and extension branches have traditionally developed
production guidelines for specific commodities or systems. In recent years, especially in
developed countries, governments have also established regulations on food safety and quality,
voluntary standards on organic agriculture, and sustainability assessments schemes.
Partial evaluation technology continues to grow and mature. ACM SIGPLANsponsored
conferences and workshops have provided a forum for researchers to
share current results and directions of work. Partial evaluation techniques are
being used in commercially available compilers (for example the Chez Scheme
system). They are also being used in industrial scheduling systems (see Augustsson's
article in this volume), they have been incorporated into popular
commercial products (see Singh's article in this volume), and they are the basis
of methodologies for implementing domain-specific languages....
This Guide is a companion to the HAP Humanitarian Accountability
and Quality Management Standard (2007), the full text of which is
attached as Annex 1. The Guide follows the structure and format of
the HAP Standard for ease of reference. It is aimed at the leaders,
managers, and staff of humanitarian agencies that wish to improve
the performance of their organisation, at those interested in assessing
the case for seeking humanitarian quality assurance certification by
HAP, and at those with responsibility for achieving compliance with
the requirements of the HAP Standard.
Most of the work on treebank-based statistical parsing exclusively uses the WallStreet-Journal part of the Penn treebank for evaluation purposes. Due to the presence of this quasi-standard, the question of to which degree parsing results depend on the properties of treebanks was often ignored. In this paper, we use two similar German treebanks, T¨ Ba-D/Z and NeGra, u and investigate the role that different annotation decisions play for parsing.

The various trading and emissions schemes around the world can offer significant

In this paper, a method to reproduce realistic
driving feeling and improve the returnability of steer-by-wire
systems (SBW) is proposed by measuring the roadwheel motor's
current directly. The key contribution presented here is a novel
method to recreate the driving feeling in term of force feedback
with simpie and cheap current sensors. A current sensor is used to
fully measure the steering torque on the rack of steering
mechanism. This measured steering torque therefore, includes the
overall effects of road conditions, aligning moments, tire
properties and so on.
