threonine synthase and the two-substrate enzyme cysta-thionine c-synthase. Threonine synthase is activated by
S-adenosylmethionine and inhibited by AMP. Cystathio-ninec-synthase condenses phosphohomoserine to cysteine
via a ping-pong mechanism.
