Studies on nanoparticle-protein interaction have also not been studied. This would give information on ratio influence on the structural alteration of EGCg in EGCg-AuNPs and its functionality in vivo. Herein, the optimisation of EGCg-AuNPs will be determined with a large pool of stoichiometric synthesises of gold and EGCg. These optimised EGCg-AuNPs would then be studied with bovine serum albumin (BSA) for protein interactions, binding and thermodynamics.

The paper will present background information on exergy theory; identify the core subsystems in an SMR plant coupled with storage systems in support of renewable energy and hydrogen production; perform a thermodynamic exergy analysis; determine the cost allocation among these subsystems; and calculate unit exergetic costs, unit exergoeconomic costs, and first and second law efficiencies.

The kinetics and thermodynamics of the urea-induced unfolding of ¯avodoxin and apo¯avodoxin fromDesulfo-vibrio vulgariswere investigated by measuring changes in ¯avin and protein ¯uorescence. The reaction of urea with ¯avodoxin is up to 5000 times slower than the reaction with the apoprotein (0.67 s )1 in 3 Murea in 25 mMsodium phosphate at 25°C), and it results in the dissociation of FMN.

The structure–activity relations of a series of synthetic phenoxazone drugs with aminoalkyl side chains of variable length and different terminal groups were investigated by examining their biological activity and DNA complexation affinity. Biological activitywas determined fromtheir ability to induce apoptosis and cell cycle perturbations (activation of cell cycle checkpoints) using the human malignant MOLT-3 cell line. The thermodynamic parameters of drug– DNA complexation were determined by differential scan-ning calorimetry....

We have studied the reaction native«denatured for the 33-kDa protein isolated from photosystem II. Sucrose and glycerol have profound effects on pressure-induced unfolding. The additives shift the equilibrium to the left; they also cause a significant decrease in the standard volume change (DV). The change in DVwas related to the sucrose and glycerol concentrations.

Heteronuclear high-resolution NMR spectroscopy was employed to determine the solution structure of the excisi-onase protein (Xis)from thek-like bacteriophage HK022 and to study its sequence-specificDNA interaction. Aswild-typeXiswas previously characterizedas a generallyunstable protein, abiologicallyactiveHK022Xismutantwithasingle amino acid substitutionCys28fiSerwas used in this work.

Owing to theuseof porphyrins inphotodynamic therapy for the treatment of malignant tumors, and the preferential interaction of lectins with tumor cells, studies on lectin– porphyrin interactionareof significant interest. In this study, the interaction of several free-base and metalloporphyrins withMomordica charantia(bitter gourd) lectin (MCL) was investigated by absorption spectroscopy. Difference absorp-tion spectra revealed that significant changes occur in the Soret band region of the porphyrins on binding to MCL....

In rat neuronal nitric oxide synthase, Phe1395 is positioned over the FAD isoalloxazine ring. This is replaced by Trp676 in human cytochrome P450 reductase, a tryptophan in related diflavin reductases (e.g. methionine synthase reduc-tase andnovel reductase 1), and tyrosine inplant ferredoxin-NADP + reductase. Trp676 in human cytochrome P450 reductase is conformationallymobile, andplays akey role in enzyme reduction. Mutagenesis of Trp676 to alanine results in a functional NADH-dependent reductase. ...

We have studied the stability of the histone-like, DNA-binding protein HU from the hyperthermophilic eubacteriumThermotoga maritimaand its E34D mutant by differential scanningmicrocalorimetry and CDunder acidic conditions at various concentrations within the range of 2–225lMof monomer. The thermal unfolding of both proteins is highly reversible and clearly follows a two-state dissociation/unfolding model from the folded, dimeric state to the unfolded, monomericone.

This study on human cytochrome P450 reductase (CPR) presents a com-prehensive analysis of the thermodynamic and kinetic effects of pH and solvent on two- and four-electron reduction in this diflavin enzyme. pH-dependent redox potentiometry revealed that the thermodynamic equilibrium between various two-electron reduced enzyme species (FMNH • ,FADH • ; FMN,FADH2; FMNH2 ,FAD) is independent of pH.

Adaptation to extreme environments affects the stability and catalytic effi-ciency of enzymes, often endowing them with great industrial potential. We compared the environmental adaptation of the secreted endonuclease I from the cold-adapted marine fish pathogenVibrio salmonicida(VsEndA) and the human pathogen Vibrio cholerae (VcEndA).
