Khổ qua (Mướp đắng), một cây rau quả vừa là cây dược liệu Tên khoa học: Momordica charantia L, Momordica anthelmintica Tên tiếng nước ngoài: Carilla fruit, balsam apple, balsam pear, african cucumber, bitter bitter gourd (Anh); pomme de merveille, margose amère, margosier piquant (Pháp). Họ: Bí (Cucurbitaceae). Thành phần hóa học: Quả khổ qua có chứa các glucosid triterpen: charantin và hỗn hợp các chất thuộc nhóm stigmastadienol.
