  • The Sivas Basin is located in the eastern part of the central Anatolia. In this study, aeromagnetic data in the basin and surrounding area are processed and anomalies are interpreted to determine the approximate locations of the causative bodies and reveal their relationship with the tectonic trends. The sedimentary basin is surrounded by strong magnetic anomalies from the south, east, and northeast. The most apparent anomalies are observed in the E-NE of Zara, SW of Divriği, and north of Kangal.

  • Garnet-bearing xenoliths are observed within a trachytic dome extrusion in the Hisarlıkaya region (Ankara). These garnets exhibiting greenish-reddish-dark brown colour and ranging in sizes up to 1 cm were examined in terms of mineralogical, geochemical, and gemmological characteristics. Mineralogical studies indicate that these garnets (And88-93 Grs7-12) are linked to solid solution series, which are dominantly andradite with lower content of grossular. According to major, trace, and rare earth element (REE) analysis

  • The morphotectonic features of the TGFZ and the distribution of the epicenters of earthquakes over magnitude 5.0 show that this fault zone remains active today. In this study, the deformation of the TGFZ is determined with high sensitivity using geodetic measurements. To obtain accurate information about the deformation of the TGFZ, 24 GNSS sites and two continuously operating reference stations were constructed in the southern part of the TGFZ. Between 2018 and 2020, Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) measurements were made on this network.
