Therefore, the objective of the thesis is to exploit a variety of biocatalysts (hydrolases) from fungi to efficiently convert lignocellulose-rich biomass from ABP into sugars (C5 and C6) capable of fermenting for bioethanol production. The thesis uses "enzyme cocktail" synergistic catalyst to increase the ability of biological transformation.

The present investigation aimed at estimating the general combining ability among parents and specific combining ability in hybrids for various yield and related traits in upland cotton. Tumour necrosis factor-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL) has attractedmuch attention because of its ability to kill tumour cells. In this study, we demonstrated that treatment of QGY-7703 cells with the combination of TRAIL and etoposide resulted in synergistic cytotoxic effects. In dissecting the mechanism underlying this syner-gistic effect, we found that treatment with etoposide alone resulted in the upregulation of Bax, while the level of trun-catedBid (tBid)wasunchanged.

The combination of antigen-specific immunotherapy with the employment of immunomodulatory agents has emerged as a potentially plausible approach for the control of advanced cancer. Methods: In the current study, we explored the combination of the DNA vaccine encoding calreticulin (CRT) linked to human papillomavirus type 16 (HPV-16) E7 antigen (CRT/E7) with the TLR7 agonist imiquimod for their ability to generate E7-specific immune responses and antitumor effects in tumor-bearing mice.
