VSAT -IP là hệ thống thông tin liên lạc IP hai chiều qua vệ tinh với tốc độ cao bằng các trạm mặt đất cỡ nhỏ - VSAT. hệ thống hoạt động theo cấu trúc mạng hình sao gồm 3 thành phần cơ bản là trạm cổng (Gateway), vệ tinh iPTAR và các trạm VSAT thuê bao (hay còn gọi là UT - User Terminal). Bài viết nêu lên những vấn đề về trạm cổng (Gateway) và cấu hình cung cấp các dịch vụ trên hệ thống VSAT-IP.
