In this paper we present theory and algorithms enabling classes of Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems to continuously and incrementally improve with a priori quantifiable guarantees – or more specifically remove classification errors – over time.

Climate change continues to have major impact on crop productivity all over the world. Researchers have evaluated the possible impact of global warming on crop yields. Predicting the potential effects of climate change on crop yields requires a model of crops respond to weather. Techniques commonly used for wheat yield estimation employ weather data over the growing season. Improved understanding of the potential effects of climate change on crop yields enables to plan for appropriate and timely responses.

A statistical modeling tool is presented that enables real-time viewing of how changes in method, process, and stability variability/bias impact product acceptance rate. The tool can be used to set and justify specifications. As needed, additional sources of variability/bias can be added to further optimize the tool’s prediction power. The tool can be used to assess each manufacturing run to ensure the process is in control. Aberrant results can then be investigated to see what source of variability/bias may have changed.

Continuous improvement is a means of promoting and working through business excellence. However, due to the complexity of the implementation process, many companies fail. Some authors consider that this is partly due to the lack of studies which develop and validate theoretical constructs in order to push theory in the CI field.

The most mechanized agricultural operations include a tractor as a primary power unit, even though the tractor itself is not particularly useful without an implement attached. Innovations and efficiency improvements in tractor engines, powertrains, and auxiliary power systems have been ongoing since tractors were invented a century ago and significant gains have been realized. However, PTO and hydraulic power systems are well established and effective for today‟s applications, the search for more versatile and efficient power transfer continues.

Business Process Management (BPM) has evolved as an integrated management discipline that aims to enable organizations to continuously innovate and improve their operations. BPM experts are exposed to communication processes involving people from various backgrounds (e.g., various business areas, fields of expertise, and cultures). Research in applied linguistics has shown that it is difficult to plan for constellations of such communication processes; thus, agile communication skills are vital for successful business communication.

This paper presents an approach of achieving adaptive e-learning by probabilistically evaluating a learner based not only on the profile and performance data of the learner but also on the data of previous learners. In this approach, an adaptation rule specification language and a user interface tool are provided to a content author or instructor to define adaptation rules. The defined rules are activated at different stages of processing the learning activities of an activity tree which models a composite learning object.

Access to training opportunities is strongly correlated with health workers’ motivation because it enables health workers to take on more challenging duties. Mobile technology can be leveraged for professional development support by providing access to open education resources. Community Health Nurses (CHNs) in Ghana are the frontline health workers of the Ghana Health Service (GHS) and play a vital role in extending maternal and child health care to rural communities. However, as the lowest credentialed nurses, they are at the bottom of the GHS hierarchy.

Upstream and downstream linkages contribute to ME’s innovativeness. However, most of the technological progress is based on the industry’s own R&D capabilities and its broad knowledge of process technologies. One of the outstanding examples in this respect has been the so-called Compact Strip Production (CSP). Developed by a European firm at the end of the 1980s, this technology enables steel works to invest in a capital and energy saving process. It has been based upon the integration of steps that have been carried out separately in former times.

Like the leaders of private companies, nonprofit executives and managers need to know whether their programs are providing satisfactory results. Outcome management enables organizations to define and use specific indicators to continually measure how well services or programs are leading to the desired results. With this information, managers can better develop budgets, allocate their resources, and improve their services.

The meteorological archive contains what is believed to be the longest continuous daily climate series from a single site in the UK and Ireland and one of the longest in the world. The climate station has been continuously maintained since 1795, with readings currently taken every day at 09:00 (GMT). Calibration of these data has enabled researchers and government agencies to use the Armagh series for reports and research into global warming. This is a subject of strategic importance for Northern Ireland as we move into an era of rapid climate change.

Therapeutic patient education* should enable patients to acquire and maintain abilities that allow them to optimally manage their lives with their disease. It is therefore a continuous process, integrated in health care. It is patient-centred; it includes organized awareness, informa- tion, self-care learning* and psychosocial support regarding the dis- ease, prescribed treatment, care, hospital and other health care set- tings, organizational information, and behaviour* related to health and illness.

The seventeenth century was one of considerable progress in English agriculture. The decay of common-field farming was enabling individual enterprise to have its way. The population was rapidly growing; by 1688 the returns of the hearth tax prove that the northern counties were nearly as thickly populated as the southern, and prices during the first half were continually rising, though after that they remained almost stationary, since the effect of the influx of precious metals from the New World was exhausted.

Innovative developments in information and communication technologies (ICT) irre- vocably change our lives and enable new possibilities for society. One of the fi elds that strongly profi ts from this trend is Telemedicine, which can be defi ned as novel ICT- enabled medical services that help to overcome classical barriers in space and time. Through Telemedicine patients can access medical expertise that may not be available at the patient’s site.

Business process management (BPM) is a holistic management approach[1] focused on aligning all aspects of an organization with the wants and needs of clients. It promotes business effectiveness and efficiency while striving for innovation, flexibility, and integration with technology. BPM attempts to improve processes continuously. It can therefore be described as a "process optimization process." It is argued that BPM enables organizations to be more efficient, more effective and more capable of change than a functionally focused, traditional hierarchical management approach....
