The increase in solid waste volume and change in composition due to urban development cause negative effects on the marine ecological environment. The aim of this study was to assess the amount of plastic waste leaking into the environment from the municipal solid waste (MSW) management system and propose mitigation measures towards sustainable development in Hue city, Viet Nam.

In this study, we investigate using acrylic and acrylic-styrene emulsions as curing solution to enhance water resistance and prevent cracking in cement concrete surfaces. Our main objective is to investigate the possibilities of utilizing washing waste generated during the Rhomn & Haas factory - Dow Chemical Vietnam production process. This waste is currently being treated as solid even though it contains anywhere from 10 – 45 % solid content.

This study engaged in the measurement and calculation of hidden quality costs in a sound and scientific manner in order to find solutions to the problem and achieve the research objectives. Increase in the sales and profits and market share of the economic unit and satisfaction of the customer are achieved through the effective the management of these costs. A deductive approach was employed in the study and a number of conclusions were made from the analysis of the results.

This thesis deals with the finite element simulation of spot welded joint in crash analysis. Spot welding is a very common joining process in the automotive industry. It is cost effective and it provides a very fast production rate of automotive body components. Despite this advantage, spot welds are very susceptible to various types of loading conditions. In the current context of eco-pollution, the substitute of conventional plastics with bioplastics is a big confront. On account of that, a non-growth associated PHB production study was conducted using Zobellella species under submerged fermentation process. As a result, Zobellella species showed the ability to accumulate 2.2g/L of PHB at pH 8. 0, temperature 37oC, salt concentration 2% in modified growth medium containing vitamins. Then, primary structural characterization of extracted polymer was conducted by FTIR analysis. The high intense peak was obtained at 1720.

Front line demonstration is an effective and appropriate tool to demonstrate recommended technologies among the farmers. Krishi Vigyan Kendra, JAU, Amreli conducted 30 demonstrations on castor during 2015-16 to 2017-18 in the villages of Amreli district. The study found, the yield of castor in IT under irrigated conditions ranges from 25.70 to 27.85 q/ha whereas in FP it ranges between 19.45 to 22.31 q/ha. The per cent increase in yield with IP over FP was recorded in the range of 18.5 to 32.1%. The extension gap and technological index were ranging from 4.1 to 6.3 q/ha and 2.2 to 4.

This research investigates the current white spaces of green marketing and country of origin effects, where new research could contribute theoretical value. The conducted research examines American and Swedish consumers’ environmental awareness, willingness and initiative in contributing to their societies for future sustainability. Using a sample of 118 consumers from an intermediated questionnaire for the offline market, a conceptual framework was developed where the study created the foundation and reasonable support for the purposed framework.
