The paper generalizes one practical tool for analyzing the structural dynamics for the high-speed railway bridge based on Cast3M open-source. Compared with the classical approach with the analytical formulation, KD-Railway developed by the finite element method allows defining the structure with complex geometry and considering a different type of structure (truss, cable, hybrid composite) or the structure-soil interaction.

This research aims to enhance comprehension of legal texts by applying Talmy's (2017) threestep process for identifying and integrating referents from contextual cues into linguistic forms. Drawing on pragmatics, discourse analysis, cognitive semantics, and Talmy's force dynamics notion, a qualitative content analysis investigates the cognitive processes readers use for cue detection, attention allocation, and semantic integration when reading court indictments.

The main aim of this work is to use a finite element method (FEM) based on Shi’s third-order shear deformation plate theory (TSDT) to study the dynamic response of sandwich plates subjected to consecutive blast loading. The sandwich plate has an auxetic honeycomb core and two different functionally graded materials (FGMs) skin layers (so-called h-FGS plates).

The modulus reduction and damping curves represent the nonlinear behavior of soil under cyclic load. In the literature, those curves were produced from lab tests of soil at particular confining stresses. This study developed a set of parameters that can be used to normalize the modulus reduction and damping curves to be stress-independent.

The article presents the graphical analysis of economic indicators for 25 countries: GDP growth rate (%) and GDP per person employed (thousand US dollars) for the period from 1990 to 2016 by considering the supply chain strategy (SCS) and transparency. The authors carried out the decomposition of economic growth rates of selected countries according to the following factors: 1) extensive factors – the growth rate of the capital stock and the size of labor force; 2) intensive factors – R&D expenditures; 3) the dynamics of foreign direct investment in the country 4) supply chain strategy.

This study focuses on experimental testing and subsequent numerical analysis of impacted and pre-loaded composite coupons and bonded composite scarf joints under varying impact conditions. A methodology will be developed for the numerical modelling of preloaded impact tests to enable capture of critical failure modes and ultimate failure. This study aims to use CFD analysis of CT scan data from the nasal cavities of a range of older Asian males to investigate the impact of geometric variations between older nasal cavities on the airflow structures and airconditioning capacity of the nasal cavity. Air flow mechanisms, heat transfer rates and humidification efficacy are analysed in order to arrive at a more precise understanding of the role of nasal geometry in the presentation of respiratory ailments.
