Problem-based learning is a new effective teaching method but has not been applied at the University of Danang - School of Medicine and Pharmacy (UD-SMP) yet. This study assesses the level of knowledge and the satisfaction of students after studying Problem-based learning method in comparison with the traditional one, called “Lecture-based learning”.

The Govt. of India has stressed for computer assisted extension system due to shortage of funds, large untrained staffs and inadequate extension personnel. A study conducted with 174 extension functionaries and 40 KVK scientists on competency of extension professionals revealed that the respondents had good access to computer, knowledge about various software applications and using computer in various aspects of the extension related job work. But, they did not have much expertise and confidence level.

The study revealed that majority (68.75%) of the farmers belonged to middle age group, had medium annual income (58.75%), belong to medium social cohesiveness(81.25%), had medium mass medium access (72.50%), had medium knowledge on climate change(83.75%). Having more percentage of respondents on medium and high level of fatalism as it was found in result hinted that there is need to develop competencies of farmers on consequences of climate change through the services of agricultural extensionists.

As a result, the study selected 15 most important competencies in 30 initial aggregated ones. Analyzing the set of competency criteria, the results showed that there was a significant difference in perceptions about the importance of criteria between students and employers. While employers considered the skill and attitude criteria to be more important, the students punctuated the criteria of knowledge.

The issue of discrepancies between university English business administration curriculum and English oral communication competence requirements in the workplace has been increasingly alarming since Vietnam accessed into more and more international business organizations, especially ASEAN Economic Community. 120 SHG members from 12 SHGs of Haorangsable and Wangoi block of Imphal-West district of Manipur were studied. Majority of the respondents were of middle age, married, belonging to general caste, living in nuclear and small family, having low education and residing in „Pucca‟ houses with „service‟ as their primary occupation while SHG is the secondary one, possessing less than 1 acre of land with semi-medium to low level of social participation and extension contact; possessing negligible land and household possession were mostly above Rs. 1, 00,000.

This study proposes appropriate methods for supporting instructors in the development of course plans by explaining how the use of a learning management system (LMS) relates to teachers’ epistemology and course characteristics. By analyzing the data, the authors identified three categories of courses taught at undergraduate levels: (1) knowledge construction, (2) knowledge transmission, and (3) mixed. In knowledge construction courses, instructors need to transform students’ conceptions of learning and the LMS must support, among other things, students’ cognition and interaction.

The study was conducted with 1,355 distance education students at undergraduate and graduate levels. This study suggests that loyalty, integrity, cooperativeness and trust have statistically significant predictive relationship with knowledge sharing.

The paper reports on the impact of building an intellectual capital statement for the Chamber of Agriculture in Styria, Austria (Landeskammer Steiermark, “LK Styria”), and with the subsequent issues of organizational development. LK Styria is a knowledge-based organization where intellectual capital accounts for a large share of the entity’s value.
