  • Customer satisfaction measurement, through MUSA model, provides the analysts with the highest and lowest performance indicators, pointing out the leverage opportunities and the weaknesses of the company. An extension of the MUSA methodology for modelling customer importance preferences for service characteristics is presented in this paper. Several approaches in the context of multiobjective linear programming are examined, which give the ability to compare derived and modelled weights of the satisfaction dimensions and to introduce the principles of Kano’s model to MUSA methodology.

  • In this paper, we consider a multi-objective two person zero-sum matrix game with fuzzy goals, assuming that each player has a fuzzy goal for each of the payoffs. The max-min solution is formulated for this multi-objective game model, in which the optimization problem for each player is a linear programming problem. Every developed model for each player is demonstrated through a numerical example.

  • 4 The New Terms of Reference for Science for Governance: Postnormal Science This chapter addresses the epistemological implications of complexity. In fact, according to what has been discussed so far, hard science, when operating within the reductionist paradigm, is not able to handle in a useful way the set of relevant perceptions and representations of the reality used by interacting agents, which are operating on different scales. No matter how complicated, individual mathematical models cannot be used to represent changes on a multi-scale, multiobjective performance space.
