A two-season field trial was carried out in the Upland Crop Experiment Field of the Faculty of Agronomy, Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA) to assess the effects of three furrow heights (20, 35, and 50cm) and three manure compost levels (15, 25, and 35 tons ha-1 ) on the growth, yield, and quality of green asparagus (Asparagus officinalis L.) grown organically.

Fertilizers play an important role in enhancing crop yield, plant growth, and the fertility of the soil. This research was conducted at the Faculty of Agriculture Teaching and Research Farm, University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria to investigate the influence of inorganic fertilizer (urea) and organic manure (spent mushroom substrate and poultry manure) on the yield and growth parameters of three okra cultivars (Clemson Spineless, Perkins Long Pod, and a local assertion).

A field experiment was conducted to evaluate the effect of organic manures and bio-fertilizers on the growth, yield and quality of chilli cv. Pusa Jwala. The experiments were conducted in Randomized Block Design with three replication. Among the various thirteen treatments, the combination of poultry manure + Azotobactor + Phosphotika stimulated better response. The growth, yield, ascorbic acid, TSS and NPK uptake by chilli plants were influenced by the application of organic manures and biofertilizers in combination.

The present investigation entitled “factors contributing for high yielding of cauliflower and to find out the constraints faced by the farmers in Khagaria District of Bihar” was carried out during 2017-18 120 respondents from 10 villages were randomly selected and data were collected and analysed by using appropriate statistical methods. The maximum yield 1.48 t ha-1 at NT5 was found under the combined use of 10 tons CM ha-1+ 3.5 tons CaO ha-1+ NPK. It was also observed that some of the soil chemical properties were significantly influenced by the application of different treatments of lime and CM while total available N, available P, available K and OM were significantly affected by the application of both organic and inorganic fertilizers in different combinations.

In order to overcome the limitation of land available for aquaculture in the central costal region of Vietnam and to reduce organic pollution in traditional integrated fish farming, a new method was developed called the ‘improved VAC’ In traditional VAC systems the manure from farm animals is released into fish ponds whereas in the ‘Improved VAC’ the manure is used for earthworm culture. The worm production is then used to feed high value fish species in tanks.
