Evaluation of the role of reactive oxygen species in PMC-based oxidation systems for RB21 dye degradation
This work aimed to evaluate the contribution of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in a green oxidation system based on peroxymonocarbonate (PMC) to the degradation efficiency of RB21 textile dye using ROS scavengers such as t-butanol, terephthalic acid (TA), N,N-dimethylaniline (DMA), ascorbic acid.

Exploitation of catechin extract from pruned tea leaves as a promising food preservative against lipid oxidation
In Vietnam, a tea-producing country, the tea buds and top three leaves are normally used for tea production while older leaves are pruned and discarded as agricultural waste in the winter. The present study aimed to exploit catechins from pruned tea leaves and use them as natural antioxidants for applications in the food industry.

Doctoral Dissertation of Environmenal Engineering: Low temperature catalytic oxidation of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) over catalysts of CuO-Co3O4 on supports
Objective of the study: The general objective of this study is to produce catalysts of bimetallic oxides (Cu-Co), on porous materials (activated carbon, silica gel, MCM-41) to adsorb and oxidize VOCs, which is represented by toluene, a popular VOCs with particular properties of the BTEX group in many industrial factories, at low temperature.

A role of electrons in zirconium oxidation
This process periodically speeds up the corrosion of the zirconium cladding in the aqueous coolant due to the breakaway of the dense part of oxide scale when its thickness reaches 2 mkm. It is shown that the electronic resistivity of zirconia is not limiting the zirconium oxidation at working temperatures.

Proposal of new oxidation kinetics for sponge base E110 cladding tubes material
Study of high temperature steam oxidation kinetics during the high temperature oxidation was carried out on the sponge base E110 cladding tubes material in the temperature range 600–1300 °C. The oxidation kinetics derived from the weight gain measurements showed a parabolic rate law for temperatures 1100 °C and higher only.

Kinetics of oxidation of toluidine blue by periodate: Catalysis by water pools of CTAB
Kinetic study of oxidation of toluidine blue (TB+) by periodate was carried out in aqueous medium and also in the cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide (CTAB) reverse micellar medium. In both the media reaction obeys first order kinetics with respect to each of the reactants.

Báo cáo Y học: Anti- and pro-oxidant effects of urate in copper-induced low-density lipoprotein oxidation
We reported earlier that urate may behave as a pro-oxidant in Cu 2+ -induced oxidation of diluted plasma. Thus, its effect on Cu 2+ -induced oxidation of isolated low-density lipoprotein (LDL) was investigated by mon-itoring the formation of malondialdehyde and conjugated dienes and the consumption of urate and carotenoids. We show that urate is antioxidant at high concentration but pro-oxidant at low concentration.

Báo cáo khoa học: First evidence of catalytic mediation by phenolic compounds in the laccase-induced oxidation of lignin models
The sulfonephthalein indicator, phenol red, exhibits an unusually slow rate of oxidation by laccase fromPolipo-rus pinsitus, in spite of the fact that it is a phenol and therefore a natural substrate for this phenoloxidase enzyme. Nevertheless, after prolonged exposure to laccase (24 h) phenol red is oxidized by more than 90%. We found that phenol red, which can be oxidatively converted into a reso-nance-stabilized phenoxy radical, performs as amediator in the laccase-catalyzed oxidation of a nonphenolic substrate (4-methoxybenzyl alcohol) and also of a hindered phenol (2,4,6-tri-tert-butylphenol). ...

Báo cáo khoa học: Structural identification of ladderane and other membrane lipids of planctomycetes capable of anaerobic ammonium oxidation (anammox)
The membrane lipid composition of planctomycetes capable of the an-aerobic oxidation of ammonium (anammox), i.e. Candidatus‘Brocadia anammoxidans’ and Candidatus‘Kuenenia stuttgartiensis’, was shown to be composed mainly of so-called ladderane lipids. These lipids are com-prised of three to five linearly concatenated cyclobutane moieties withcis ring junctions, which occurred as fatty acids, fatty alcohols, alkyl glycerol monoethers, dialkyl glycerol diethers and mixed glycerol ether⁄esters. ...

Báo cáo khoa học: Relationship between the structure of guanidines and N-hydroxyguanidines, their binding to inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) and their iNOS-catalysed oxidation to NO
The binding of several alkyl- and aryl-guanidines andN-hydroxyguanidines to the oxygenase domain of inducible NO-synthase (iNOSoxy) was studied by UV⁄Vis difference spectroscopy. In a very general manner, monosubsti-tuted guanidines exhibited affinities for iNOSoxy that were very close to those of the corresponding N-hydroxyguanidines. The highest affinities were observed for the natural substrates,l-arginine and N x -hydroxy-l-arginine (Kd at thelmlevel).

Báo cáo khoa học: Critical roles of Leu99 and Leu115 at the heme distal side in auto-oxidation and the redox potential of a hemeregulated phosphodiesterase from Escherichia coli
The heme-regulated phosphodiesterase fromEscherichia coli(EcDOS), which is a heme redox-dependent enzyme, is active with a ferrous heme but inactive with a ferric heme. Global structural changes including axial ligand switching and a change in the rigidity of the FG loop accompanying the heme redox change may be related to the dependence ofEcDOS activity on the redox state.

Báo cáo khoa học: Ferrocyanide ) a novel catalyst for oxymyoglobin oxidation by molecular oxygen
A comparative study of the rates of ferrocyanide-catalyzed oxidation of several oxymyoglobins by molecular oxygen is reported. Oxidation of the native oxymyoglobins from sperm whale, horse and pig, as well as the chemically modified (MbO2) sperm whale oxymyoglobin, with all accessible His residues alkylated by sodium bromoacetate (CM-MbO2), and the mutant sperm whale oxymyoglobin [MbO2(His119 fiAsp)], was studied.

Báo cáo khoa học: Biopreservation of red blood cells – the struggle with hemoglobin oxidation
Numerous top-down kinetic models have been constructed to describe the cell cycle. These models have typically been constructed, validated and ana-lyzed using model species (molecular intermediates and proteins) and phe-notypic observations, and therefore do not focus on the individual model processes (reaction steps).

báo cáo khoa hoc : Identification of Tyr74 and Tyr177 as substrate oxidation sites in cationic cell wall-bound peroxidase from Populus alba L.
Cationic cell wall-bound peroxidase (CWPO-C) has the capability to oxi-dize sinapyl alcohol, ferrocytochromec, and synthetic lignin polymers, unlike most peroxidases that have been characterized in flowering plants, such as horseradish peroxidase and Arabidopsis thalianaperoxidase A2.
