Genetic diversity among 28 sesame (Sesamum indicum L.) varieties was examined at DNA level by means of random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) analysis. Fifteen primers used produced a total of 132 RAPD fragments. Each primer generated 3 to 26 amplified fragments with an average of 8.8 bands per primer. Based on pair-wise comparisons of RAPD amplification products, Nei and Li’s similarity coefficients were computed to assess the associations among the varieties. Pair-wise similarity indices varied from 0.35 to 0.84.

This paper calculate full O(α) electroweak radiative corrections and O(α 3 ) initial state radiation (ISR) corrections to e−e + → W−W+ with initial beam polarization effects. In phenomenological results, we study the impact of electroweak and ISR corrections on cross sections as well as their relevant distributions. We find that the corrections are order of 10% contributions. They are sizable contributions and should be taken into account at future lepton colliders.

Formation of reducing sugars during low temperature storage of red beet is detrimental for processing, consumption as vegetable and easily deteriorated when exposed to high temperatures. Most of the analytical methods are time consuming, cost effective and laborious. So, assessing internal red beet quality through statistical methods is alternative as mathematical modeling does not take error in to consideration. These equations contain few parameters and the storability of the product could be predicted before keeping it for storage based on the dependent parameters.

The attempt was made in the study to examine the economics of cultivation of Swarna sub1 rice in Chandauli district of Uttar Pradesh. 60 farmers were surveyed on the basis of those who cultivated swarna sub1. Efficiency of resources in swarna sub1 and swarna cultivation was examined through Cobb-Douglas production function and MVP analysis. It was found that there was no multicollinearity between any pair of explanatory variables in both varieties.

We report induction of spontaneous spawning in Mystus cavasius in glass aquaria provided with water hyacinth for egg attachment. The brooders (20 to 25g) were injected intramuscularly with Ovatide™ at the rate of 0.2 millilitre/Kilogram body weight and introduced into the spawning tanks in the evening. Maximum spawning response was obtained when two pairs of brooders were housed in one tank.

Vegetables are the cheapest source of natural nutrients. To achieve true nutritional selfsufficiency, the production of vegetables in India must be doubled by 2050. This can be achieved through better cultivation practices. In India most of the vegetable crops are transplanted by traditional manual method; which is a tiresome and labour consuming process. Thus mechanization of vegetable transplanting is an immediate need. On the way of mechanization lies the marginal land holdings and poor socio- economic status of farmers.

In this article, we calculate QED corrections due to the initial-state photon radiation (ISR) to process e- e+ -> W- W+ -> 4 jets at lepton colliders. The computations are performed up to the correction with order. For physically interpretation, the impact of ISR corrections on total cross sections and its relevant distributions are studied. We find that the corrections are almost 10% of the total cross-section. Thus, these corrections are significant, and they must be taken into account at lepton colliders in the future.

Litchi is one of the important subtropical fruit crops in the state of Jharkhand, occupying around 3.3 thousand hectare and production is about 16.5 thousand metric tonnes. Considering the importance of plant analysis in fruit crops, the present investigation was carried out in an established orchard (since, 1979) at ICAR Research Complex for Eastern Region, Ranchi Centre to study the nutrient concentration in leaves of Litchi orchard as well as interrelationship between available nutrients present in leaf with crop productivity for developing a sound fertilizer management programme.

Conventional breeding involves time taking procedure for pyramiding of genes and screening of crops for the same. Double haploid (DH) production can reduce the time of production of resistant crops in less time period. Twenty one plants that survived after the hardening procedure were screened phenotypically and molecularly for BB resistant genes.

Horse gram leaf samples showing yellow mosaic symptoms gave positive results with HgYMV specific primer pairs (HgYMV-CP-F/HgYMV-CP-R) and yielded amplicons of ~1000 bp whereas no PCR product was obtained from DNA extracted from healthy samples in PCR. The 1000 bp PCR products were cloned, sequenced, assembled and its length was determined as 885 bp including 111 bp pre-coat protein at 5’ end and 774 core coat protein. The length of the predicted amino acid sequence was found to be 257.
