In international pistol shooting competition the performance improvement needed to be able to move into a medal winning position in a final from fourth position is 1.5 points (Bedford et al., 2012). It may be expected therefore, that by providing a method of reducing tremor resulting in a corresponding performance improvement. This research consists of two studies investigating the physiological response and the shooting performance of elite pistol shooters.

High-pressure NMR experiments performed on the histi-dine-containing phosphocarrier protein (HPr) fromSta-phylococcus carnosushave shown that residue Ile14, which is located in the active-centre loop, exhibits a peculiarly small pressure response. In contrast, the rest of the loop shows strong pressure effects as is expected for typical protein interaction sites. To elucidate the structural role of this residue, the mutant protein HPr(I14A), in which Ile14 is replaced by Ala, was produced and studied by solution NMR spectroscopy. ...

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN LEADER/FOLLOWER CONGRUENCE AND FOLLOWER COMMITMENT There are three plausible explanations for the pattern of findings presented here. First, it may be that school and district policies are not responsible for a large share of the extant across-school variation in student performance. We would not then expect to observe effectiveness sorting, regardless of its extent, in the distribution of student SAT scores. Second, the number of school districts may not capture variation in parents ability to exercise Tiebout choice....

State statutes define a position as a "group of duties and responsibilities...which require the services of an employee on a part-time or full-time basis." A position description (PD) is a structured document assigning work to a given position as it is expected to be performed after customary orientation and training. It will tell the reader what the worker is responsible for doing, how it is done, and how it relates to other positions within and outside the work unit.
