The main goal of this research is to describe the scientific process for identifying the causes of incidents in riverbank protection works in Vietnam. The process is carried out in main steps, including establishing an investigation team with appropriate expertise, conducting field surveys, collecting documents related to design and construction, and performing technical analysis experiments.

SterolD14-reductase (D14-SR) is a microsomal enzyme involved in the con-version of lanosterol to cholesterol in mammals.
