Technology development funds

This report provides baseline information on investigations undertaken as part of the Collaboration for Agriculture and Rural Development CARD Project 050/04VIE “Improvement of export and domestic markets for Vietnamese fruit through improved post-harvest and supply chain management”. This collaborative project is funded by AusAID and administered by Hassall and Associates International.

The thesis aims to provide scientific arguments for competence state agencies to amend, supplement and complete the management of state budget investments for science and technology development funds in Vietnam by raising the quality and effectiveness of these funds to promote research activities and contribute to social-economic development. The thesis also serves as precious reference materials for research institutes and universities for their research and training activities.

Government information is often not mobile friendly; increasing accessibility (especially of local information) is one way libraries can serve diverse users. Some libraries are providing services of this type in a desktop-oriented way already. This chapter discusses tools that can be used to make such sites more mobile friendly, including ones requiring little funds or technical background. The most obvious way to leverage patrons’ mobile devices is to put content on the Web.
