This paper investigates the nonlinear vibration of saturated porous functionally graded plate subjected to the combination of mechanical and thermal loadings. Three different distributions of porosity are considered. Based on the Biot and higher order shear deformation theories, the vibration characteristics including natural frequency, deflection amplitude – time curves and relation between frequency ratio and amplitude of the saturated porous plate are determined.

The nonlinear buckling behaviors of the functionally graded graphene platelet reinforced composite (FG-GPLRC) doubly curved shallow shells under external pressure in the thermal environment are introduced and investigated in this paper. The Donnell shell theory and the strain-displacement relationship of von Karman are used. At the bottom surface of FG-GPLRC doubly curve shallow shells, the FG-GPLRC stiffener system in the transverse, longitudinal, or/and oblique directions is installed to increase the bearing capacity of the shallow shells.

An analytical approach of nonlinear buckling and postbuckling analysis of core-corrugated functionally graded carbon nanotubes reinforced composite (FG- CNTRC) cylindrical panels under axial compression is presented in the present study. A homogenization technique is applied for the corrugated core with thermal effects. The nonlinear stability equation system of panels is formulated by using the Donnell thin shell theory with the von Kármán geometrical nonlinearities.

The study will focus on monitoring defects and finding out the nature of these defects. Bulk GaN was irradiated by a 2 MeV electron beam at a fluence of 5×1016 cm2 and studied by deep-level transient spectroscopy (DLTS). After irradiation, a broad peak, including at least two traps, was detected. The trap D1 (EC −0.16 eV) observed from a broad peak is induced during the annealing process below 550K and completely annealed out at 550K after 10 hours.

Despite the extensive use of thin-walled structures, the studies on their behaviours when exposed to extreme thermal environment are relatively scarce. Therefore, this paper aims to present the buckling analysis of thin-walled composite I-beams under thermo-mechanical loads. The thermal effects are investigated for the case of studied beams undergoing a uniform temperature rise through their thickness.

In this work, pyrolytic carbon electrodes were prepared through pyrolysis of wellpatterned AZ 1505 positive photoresist films. The designed electrodes firstly were prepared via photolithography technique, then the polymer was thermally broken-down into carbon skeletons in an oxygen-free environment using pyrolysis technique.
