The performance of a hexapeptide ligand library in capturing the ‘hidden proteome’ is illustrated and evaluated. This library, insolubilized on an organic polymer and available under the trade name ‘Equalizer Bead Tech-nology’, acts by capturing all components of a given proteome, by concen-trating rare and very rare proteins, and simultaneously diluting the abundant ones.
