This article focuses on the social judgment theory and its application to examine consumer reactions to businesses. For businesses that apply green marketing strategies in their operations, consumer judgment has different characteristics, which moderates and alters the intention and behaviour of consuming green products. This study applied the documentary method, combining synthesis and evaluation to reveal that consumers often have psychological judgments about the reality of businesses that are implementing a sustainable development strategy.

This thesis examines both organisational and consumer perspectives on the BOP market in Sri Lanka using a sequential mixed-method approach aligned under four phases of studies. The findings of the qualitative studies on organisational perspective confirm the market opportunities for large companies, particularly in the rural BOP market, but also find that the focus of alleviating poverty is lacking among practitioners.

This dissertation addresses calls from both tourism and marketing researchers for a holistic framework and comprehensive examination of the role that the country cue plays in consumer behavior (Josiassen and Harzing 2008; Maheswaran et al. 2013). It provides much needed advancement to both the tourism and marketing research discipline by conceptualizing and empirically examining various pathways through which the country cue manifests in tourists’ and consumers’ behavior.

This research develops a rich theoretical and empirical understanding of embeddedness by way of three dimensions (structural, relational and cultural), and investigates its implications for actors’ value co-creation behaviours and value-in-context outcomes. In addition, the research refines co-creation perspectives by examining a central boundary condition of co-creation processes. The data was collected in an online service environment and was analysed using structural equation modelling techniques.

This study investigates a number of the drivers of upgrading speed within consumer electronic products. The main constructs under investigation are psychological predisposition to rapidly upgrade (PPRU), product factors (PF), vicarious innovativeness (VI), vicarious adoption (VA), and disposal orientation (DO). In addition, a consumer’s intention to quickly upgrade in the future (FIU) is also investigated.
