The paper generalizes one practical tool for analyzing the structural dynamics for the high-speed railway bridge based on Cast3M open-source. Compared with the classical approach with the analytical formulation, KD-Railway developed by the finite element method allows defining the structure with complex geometry and considering a different type of structure (truss, cable, hybrid composite) or the structure-soil interaction.

A finite element model using a multi-fiber approach is proposed in this paper for the analysis of reinforced concrete (RC) members using fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) reinforcements, with a specific focus on the effect of pure torsion. The main objective of this study is to develop a numerical finite element model to predict the behavior of RC beams with FRP reinforcement under pure torsional effects.

The main aim of this work is to use a finite element method (FEM) based on Shi’s third-order shear deformation plate theory (TSDT) to study the dynamic response of sandwich plates subjected to consecutive blast loading. A corotational finite element for large-displacement elastic analysis of semi-rigid planar steel frames is proposed in this paper. Two zero-length rotational springs are attached to the ends of the Euler-Bernoulli element formulated in corotational context to simulate the flexibility of the beam-to-column connections and then the equilibrium equations of the hybrid element, including the stiffness matrix which contains the stiffness terms of the rotational springs, are established based on the static condensation procedure.

The modulus reduction and damping curves represent the nonlinear behavior of soil under cyclic load. In the literature, those curves were produced from lab tests of soil at particular confining stresses. This study developed a set of parameters that can be used to normalize the modulus reduction and damping curves to be stress-independent.

In this paper, a computational approach using a combination of the upper bound theorem and the bubbleenhanced quadrilateral finite element (FEM-Qi6) is proposed to evaluate bearing capacity factors of strip footing in cohesive-frictional soil.
