This study intends to contribute to the current state of knowledge by empirically investigating the relationship between institutional environment and the performance of MFIs, by comparing South Asia and Latin America. In doing so, this study aims to analyse: (1) Does institutional environment matter for the performance of MFIs in South Asia and Latin America? Do MFIs perform better in the context of well-developed institutions? (2) What are the differences between the performance of MFI in South Asia and Latin America? These questions are addressed by employing a two stage least squares (2SLS) regression.

Poverty and inequality are among the most discussed topics in Economics. This thesis aims to investigate the empirical relationship between financial inclusion, poverty and gender inequality. Using unique cross-country panel and survey data sets, three hypotheses are tested: (1) microfinance is an effective tool for poverty reduction; (2) women’s participation in microfinance contributes to improvements in gender equality; and (3) financial inclusion has a positive effect on household income in China.

Dialectical materialism method and historical materialism: used to clarify the problems of microfinance and develop microfinance activities in key economic region; to use the assessment of the current status of microfinance development in the key economic region of the Central.

The overall goal of the study is to assess the performance of MFIs in Vietnam. Based on that, propose some suitable policy implications. Assess the status of the operational efficiency of MFIs in Vietnam; assess the impact of women's empowerment on the performance of MFIs in Vietnam; proposing policy implications to improve the performance of Vietnamese MFIs.

This article aims at examining the Relationship between Microfinance and Economic Development in Developing Nations

The present work is done to study the empowerment of women through Microfinance. The survey was conducted in Alwar district of Rajasthan on around 50 respondents, covering a sample of beneficiaries.

Research objectives: Research into the development of microfinance operations, primarily lending small amounts, of credit institutions. Time of study: Secondary data on the credit institutions and Lien Viet Post Join Stock Commercial Bank and elecommunications were collected during the period 2010-2014.
