I. Objectives:

Warm-up: (4 minutes)
- Write some three-syllable words on the board, and - Listen to teacher
then pronounce those words aloud. - Read aloud
- Pay attention to its stress. - Pay attention to its stress.
- Ask Ss to read after - Understand the aim of the new lesson.

-How do we pronounce these words?
- Read again these words and lead to the lesson
- Today, we learn how to pronounce three-syllable words.
I. Pronunciation
a. Give Ss some rules of word stress in three-syllable - Listen and repeat from 2-3 times
words - Some of them stand and read words
- Help students how to pronounce those words correctly aloud
by reading first as model - Practise in groups
b. Practice: - Some groups compare with their results
- Read the words first: clearly, correctly and read the words in sentences aloud
- Listen and correct their pronunciation if it’s needed
- Let students read the sentences and work in groups - The answers can be various
- Listen and remark each group - Listen and give more questions in
pairs
- Read the sentences in chorus aloud
II. Grammar: - Understand the task
a) Review some grammar structures: Passive voice. - Fill each blank with the simple
S + to be + past participle present passive form of the verb
- Give some examples in brackets.
- Ask Ss to make sentences with the structures. Answers:
