Mechanical-microstructural characteristics of concrete containing high volumes of coal bottom ash
This paper aims to study the effect of coal bottom ash (CBA) as a fine aggregate substitution at high levels on the mechanical properties and microstructure characteristics of concrete. CBA that sourced from a local coal-fired power plant in Vietnam was used to replace the natural sand (NS) in the concrete mixtures at different levels of 0, 30, 50, 70, and 100%.

Numerical comparison of PI and neural network-based controllers for the hydrostatic unit in hydro mechanical transmissions of self-propelled vehicles
The application of hydro-mechanical transmissions is recently the trend in agricultural vehicles where a continuously variable transmission ratio has advantages. Hydro-mechanical transmissions provide efficient power transfer while maneuverability is still maintained, and therefore, fuel efficiency is enhanced.

Master's thesis of Mechanical Engineering: Analysis of a vibration isolator with dual rate spring and damper
In the course of current research the procedure of obtaining of the piecewise linear vibration systems time and frequency responses have been developed. The method is partly analytical and partly numerical and is based on combining of linear solutions of different sections in a cycle of motion. In a row with the method of obtaining of the exact steady state time and frequency response, also it is provided sensitivity analysis of the vibration isolator. Numerical challenges that were raised during the modeling of the system’s frequency response and possible solutions of them have been considered. In addition, different normalizations of the model of the system are reviewed and their impact on the results is discussed.

Master's thesis of Engineering: Effect of fibre diameter, at a specified web weight and mechanical bonding on parameters and characteristics of fibre cement felts
This research focuses on Fibre Cement Felts (FCF), which is a non-woven textile substrate acting as a conveyor belt for the manufacturing of Fibre Cement Sheets (FCS). Fibre Cement Felts are a valued component required in the manufacturing process of Fibre Cement Sheets, used in construction for today’s building industry. Identifying the key factors that most influence FCF will assist in understanding of the relationship between fibre diameters, carded web, and mechanical bonding. As these factors have an effect on the performance requirements and characteristics of FCF, this will ultimately impact the production of Fibre Cement Products.

Master's thesis of Engineering: Mechanical properties and applications of additively manufactured thermoplastic polyurethane material
Once the mechanical properties of printed TPU are characterised, a novel, low cost, and environmentally friendly method for concrete casting using printed TPU moulds is proposed in this thesis. Additively manufactured TPU mould is developed to cast complex concrete structures. A planar topologically optimized cantilever and a free-form 3D column are cast using the proposed TPU mould. Good surface quality is obtained for the cast concrete elements, and the moulds can be reused many times after cleaning.

Master's thesis of Engineering: An estimation of critical wind speed and a calculation of mechanical properties for two Australian eucalypts
One of the main objectives for this thesis is to provide an extensive literature review on the knowledge of the failure of trees in general and specifically Eucalyptus. By doing so, gaps in the literature and research will be revealed and then the remaining objectives will be selected experimental work filling the gaps for Eucalypts.

Master's thesis of Engineering: Investigation of material and mechanical properties of laser beam welded (LBW) laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) and wrought titanium alloy samples
This research investigates a means of negating such shortcomings and reaping the benefits of both LPBF additive manufacturing and traditional manufacturing methods by joining such parts together using laser welding in the autogenous mode (no fillers required). Based on the literature review conducted in this field and the gaps identified, a two-stage methodology was utilised, as per following.

Thesis for the degree of Master of Engineering: Mechanical Properties and Applications of Additively Manufactured Thermoplastic Polyurethane Material
Once the mechanical properties of printed TPU are characterised, a novel, low cost, and environmentally friendly method for concrete casting using printed TPU moulds is proposed in this thesis. The findings of this thesis will provide clear guidelines for the selection of processing parameters for additively manufactured TPU parts and the method of casting complicated concrete structures with additively manufactured TPU mould.

Summary of doctoral thesis in Mechanical engineering and Engineering mechanics: An approach to approximate and fem-model the conductivity and elasticity of multicomponent material
Equivalent inclusion approach is then developed to account for possible diversions, such as non-idealistic geometric forms of the inhomogeneities, imperfect matrix-inclusion contacts, filler dispersions, and when the particular values of the fillers’ properties are unspecified, using available numerical or experimental reference conductivity data for particular composites.
