This study investigates the effects of thermo-mechanical processing parameters, specifically cold rolling and annealing, on the ultimate tensile strength (UTS) of AA2024 alloy, employing a Box-Behnken experimental design. The deformation during cold rolling, the annealing temperature, and the time annealing were varied to evaluate their individual and combined effects on the UTS.

The auxiliary parts of the impact test hammer are only suitable for certain cases. The impact velocity of other cases are determined by measuring. Instead of measuring multiple times, the hammer velocity calculating method and program is suggested by this article for general cases and the input parameters will be changed for the other cases. The calculation results are verified by using a high speed camera to measure the hammer velocity.

This study investigated the influence of culture media and culture time on the antioxidant and α-glucosidase inhibitory activities of the methanol extract obtained from the mycobiont of Graphis handelii. Different culture media, including MIX, PDA, and SAB4%, were employed to culture the mycobiont, and the biomass was harvested during different culture periods (4, 8, and 12 weeks).

This paper discusses the changes in classroom instructions due to technology over the years in mathematics education, and how these changes have impacted mathematics learning and teaching. This study investigates the potential of using watermelon rind, a commonly discarded byproduct, to produce fermented beverages. Watermelon rind, which constitutes 30% of the fruit's weight, is rich in fiber and amino acids, offering significant nutritional benefits. The aim was to optimize the fermentation process by adjusting factors such as total soluble solids, pH, yeast concentration, and fermentation time to enhance both alcohol production and the sensory qualities of the beverage.

Garlic has been utilized since ancient times for both culinary and medicinal purposes. Recent research has identified selenium compounds in garlic, including γ-Glutamyl-Se-methylselenocysteine (GGMSC), leading to the hypothesis that GGMSC acts as a carrier for Se-methylselenocysteine (MSC). Experiments conducted on animals by researchers indicate that the effects of GGMSC in garlic and MSC on cancer cells in experimental models are equivalent. This finding suggests that garlic is a potential chemotherapeutic agent to enhance cancer treatment.

In this paper, the problem of exponential stability of linear time-delay systems with mixed discrete and distributed delays is studied. Based on an asymmetric Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional approach, sufficient conditions are derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities to guarantee the exponential convergence of the system state trajectories with a prescribed decay rate.

Crickets can be raised in a small area, are easy to care for, have a short harvest time, and have no pollution problem. This paper provides insight into the effects of three types of food on the growth and development of crickets (Gryllus bimaculatus) and proposes the rearing process of crickets.

Photoelasticity images of pulsed laser ablation in water and in air were simulated by Finite Element Method. In the paper "Compare transient stress induced in in-air and in-water laser ablation using simulation method", the Von Mises stress distribution in the target is deduced from the simulated images and is compared between the two-ablation regimes. The result confirms that pulse laser ablation in the water can induced a stress about 100 times higher than that induced in ablation in the air.
