Application of spectroscopic methods for the authentication of agricultural products of Vietnam: A study of ST25 rice

Food fraud, particularly in staple commodities like rice, poses significant risks to trademark protection as well as economic challenges. In this study, we explored the efficacy of Raman spectroscopy in differentiating authentic ST25 rice-a premium variety of Vietnam from other rice types, amidst concerns of adulteration.

Computing feature matrices using PCA-SVD hybrid method on small-scale systems

Our contribution is to design a PCA-SVD hybrid method that dividesthe feature extraction into two phases: PCA-based size reduction and SVD-based decomposition. Comparative analysis of an integral component of bacterial cell division from the Lactococcus and Bacillus genera

The objective of this study was to analyze the features of FtsZ proteins in the Bacillus and Lactococcus genus groups. By exploring the available genomes, we identified and characterized FtsZ proteins in 19 Bacillus and 22 Lactococcus species.

Studying species component, distribution of honey bee species belonging to the family of Apidae, analyzing the ecological relations and determining for using some honey bee species as an indicator of environmental pollution on the affected ecosystems (farm ecosystems, perennial garden ecosystems, cultivated forest ecosystems and evergreen forest ecosystems) in some provinces in the Northern Vietnam, contributing to the conservation of honey bee species and producing highquality honey products for the economic development of local people.

Genetic variability among landraces of sesame (Sesamum indicum L.)

Twenty one genotypes including check Krishna were evaluated in randomized block design with three replications during kharif-2017 at research farm of TCA, Dholi for estimation of genetic variability among them. Genotypes varied significantly for all the morpho-physiological characters indicating the presence of considerable variability among the genotypes. Significant bidirectional shift was observed in the mean values as compared to better check, thus provided scope for selection. A close proximity between PCV and GCV indicated strong base of genetic component in phenotypic expression of all the characters under study. High heritability coupled with high genetic advance for yield traits suggested the preponderance of additive gene effect in the expression of these characters.
