Mechanical-microstructural characteristics of concrete containing high volumes of coal bottom ash
This paper aims to study the effect of coal bottom ash (CBA) as a fine aggregate substitution at high levels on the mechanical properties and microstructure characteristics of concrete. CBA that sourced from a local coal-fired power plant in Vietnam was used to replace the natural sand (NS) in the concrete mixtures at different levels of 0, 30, 50, 70, and 100%.

The effects of intellectual property rights – IPRs on Korea’s export technology products
This study investigates the impact of intellectual property rights enforcement on Korea’s technological exports to 158 partner countries during 2010–2022. Using a gravity model and GMM estimation, the findings reveal a significant positive effect of IPR on exports across all technology levels.

Trajectory planning for search-and-rescue UAVs using a greedy algorithm
This article presents a trajectory-planning program for research-and-rescue UAVs based on the use of a local optimization greedy algorithm. Trajectories are generated over a search domain characterized by a probabilistic score map. For multiple-UAV systems, the program can assign each device to a search mission based on the probabilistic property or the geometry of the search domain.

Study on thermodynamic property of thin film of BCC interstitial alloy WSi at zero pressure: Dependence on temperature, interstitial atom concentration and film thickness
The article presents a model and derives analytical expressions for Helmholtz free energy, the nearest neighbor distance, isothermal compressibility, the thermal expansion coefficient, the heat capacities at constant volume and constant pressure as functions of temperature, concentration of interstitial atoms, and film’s thickness for an interstitial binary alloy with a BCC structure based on the statistical moment method (SMM).

An ab initio calculation on the structural, electronic and magnetic properties of Ni-doped Bi0.5Na0.5TiO3
The first principle calculation was employed to investigate the formation energies and structural, electronic, and magnetic properties of intrinsic and Ni-doped sodium bismuth titanate Bi0.5Na0.5TiO3(BNT). The obtained formation energies indicate that Ni atoms prefer to dope into Bi-sites in the lattice of BNT while the calculated band structure shows that the doping leads to the emergence of new midgap energy states in the bandgaps, reducing the bandgap value of doped materials.

We calculate the exciton radiative lifetime of spherical Indium Phosphide (InP) and Cadmium Selenide (CdSe) colloidal quantum dots. In experiments, InP and CdSe quantum dots can be coated by another semiconductor shell, organic ligands, or inorganic molecules.

This research is aimed at identifying and examining house price determinants at a local level to understand why house prices vary across different locations and the factors influencing such price differentiation. This research has adopted explanatory mixed research methods (QUAN -> QUAL) where quantitative analysis is used in the first stage to examine the Melbourne housing market and its performance at different levels. The research found there were certain periods where local house prices do not perform in line with either country, city or other local housing markets.
