SUMMARY
The thesis “Factors influencing individual customer’s decision to deposit savings at
Nam A Commercial Joint Stock Bank – Quang Ninh branch” was conducted by the
author in Quang Ninh. The thesis was implemented in order to analyze the factors
affecting the decision to deposit savings of individual customers at Nam A
Commercial Joint Stock Bank – Quang Ninh branch (Nam A Bank Quang Ninh
branch), from which it was possible to propose management implications to attract
and raise the number of customers who deposit savings and enhance the efficiency of
capital mobilization. The qualitative research methodologies such as accreditation of
reliability of scale with Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient and factor analysis showed that
the scale used in this research is suitable. The Multi- variable regression analysis
result showed that within 07 independent factors entered into the model, all 07 factors
had significance in terms of statistic aspect, including: Convenience factor,
Promotion, Staff, Service quality, Security, Influence of reference group, Brand
reputation. 07 factors had positive correlation with the decision to deposit savings at
Nam A Bank Quang Ninh branch of individual customers. Among these, staff had
the strongest impact, next was the service quality, convenience factor, security factor,
promotion, influence of reference group, branch reputation and besides, there were
influences of occupations, gender, age, and academic level of the customers. From
such studies, the author proposed several management implications as follows:
paying attention to develop human resource, diversifying capital mobilization
products, applying suitable interest for capital mobilization, accelerating marketing
activities for the bank, performing customer care regularly in many forms, simplify
the procedure and process, speeding up the application of many modern
technological achievements especially information technology and expanding the
operation network, renovating the headquarter to be modern and spacious.
