Design Thinking first emerged as a concept around the 1950s - 1960s of the 20th century. However, the role and contributions of design thinking have been recognized not only in the field of design but also in the progress of science, business management, and education... This paper will summarize the potential of applying design thinking in the public policy cycle and discuss its debates and limitations, thereby offering suggestions for Vietnam.

This paper shows that Sino-Vietnamese morphemes combine not only with other Sino-Vietnamese morphemes but also with non-Sino-Vietnamese morphemes, such as native Vietnamese and even Indo-European elements, particularly French loanwords. This phenomenon is not unique to Vietnamese: similar hybrid words can also be found in other Sino-xenic languages (Japanese and Korean) as well as Indo-European languages.

The study uses a document collection and analysis method to collect relevant documents from 2016 to 2024, including official documents, academic works, and policies of the Communist Party of China.

This study examines the current state of inflation across 45 nations and reevaluates its interplay with economic growth, focusing on the years 2010 through 2021. Utilizing methodologies including Ordinary Least Squares (OLS), fixed effects, and random effects models, we analyze the legal ramifications of inflation on economic development and discern disparities between developed and developing jurisdictions.

The present thesis attempts to describe the Knowledge Management (KM) field in terms of its relevance to the Library & Information Science (LIS) professions. The methodology employed was a combination of qualitative and quantitative approaches including administration of a web-based survey and the conduct of in-depth interviews targeted at LIS professionals. The results emerging from the research revealed very positive feedback from the LIS community in regard to attitudes towards KM. Not only did LIS professionals consider KM to be a viable option but also, they saw positive implications for both individuals and the professions as a whole in terms of opportunities for new career options in KM.

The impacts of fund mergers and liquidations are significant as the managed funds industry continues to evolve. This thesis fills a much needed gap in the managed funds literature through providing insight into causes and implications of mergers and liquidation of managed funds. The thesis explores this through a number of aspects. Firstly, the thesis develops a framework for conceptualising the causes of managed funds termination and describes the differences between strategic mergers, distressed mergers and liquidations.

In order to formulate the research questions a review of the literature was conducted, from which three questions emerged relating to the issue surrounding one’s decision to enroll in a fine arts course and the professional ‘use value’ of the human capital accumulated during this type of education. Specifically stated, the research questions are: 1) Do fine arts graduates make an informed ex ante decision prior to entering their course? 2) Do fine arts graduates accumulate more general than specific human capital? and 3) Does the accumulation of general human capital allow fine arts graduates to work in a number of different occupations and sectors?

This thesis examines the implications of public sector HRM architecture and its impact on HR professionals, senior managers and employees who are integral to service delivery in the public sector. To achieve its objective, conclusions are based on findings from practitioners and employing organisations, in a context of the prominent literature in this field. A mixed methods approach was adopted with 54 semi-structured interviews conducted in case study organisations representing an in-house, shared service and outsourced model of HRM.
